Not very impressed with this dealership. When I came to buy a new Honda SUV the sales person I worked with was really nice and helpful. However, that's the only good thing I can say in regards to the deale buy a new Honda SUV the sales person I worked with was really nice and helpful. However, that's the only good thing I can say in regards to the dealership. To start, it took us close to 2 hours to negotiate for the new car. The manager who stepped in at one point was downright rude and blatantly contradicted statements his sales associate said in an attempt to increase the price. For example, he claimed the estimated price for the parking sensor package we wanted didn't include labor even though we earlier confirmed that the price did include labor. If it didn't there price would have been hundreds dollars more than what other places charged. That said, I feel we ended up with a fair deal overall, not great but not bad either. However, they then promised to install a sensor package on our car by the next morning before we picked it up. They also promised it would only take 15 minutes to fill out all the paperwork and then drive away. The next morning we dropped off the check to pay for the car in full and then we came back during my lunch break at the scheduled time to pickup up my car. That's where things went really wrong. 1st, they informed me that they messed up on the contract total since the DMV charged more for the license plate. No real issue, just off by $9 ($206 instead of $215), after confirming that's all that I needed to pay, they had me sign a new contract with the updated amount and I offered my credit card. Next thing I new I was charged $215.10. When I asked why I was charged more than the $9 I agreed to, they explained that there were actually 2 errors. 1) the extra $9 and 2) that they couldn't do basic math and messed up the total resulting in it being off by $215.10. At this point, I was really annoyed and after I confirmed all there math with a calculator, since they couldn't be trusted, I decided to let the issue drop, $215 isn't enough to give up on my new car. Sure the proper thing to do would have been for them to absorb that amount since it was their mistake and they essentially jumped the total contract price after the fact. However, I really just wanted to leave and get some lunch. Of course, all this back and forth + waiting + updating the paperwork took about an hour. Which is no 15 minutes. That said, I had an hour lunch break and mistakes happen so I was happy to be done and they already notified my sales person that the car was all ready while I was completing the paperwork. So I was good to go, right? Wrong!!! So they take me to the back waiting room and told me they'll bring my car in a few minutes. After waiting 15 minutes I called my sales person and asked what's happening. He said they had a small delay since they noticed they were missing a wheel lock. This concerned me that they supposedly already inspected the car but ok. Then after another 10 minutes my sales associate comes and apologizes to me that they just informed him they couldn't install the sensor package. It seems they didn't have the parts and it was impossible to get it in such a short time. Which is messed up since I delayed picking up the car until now solely for them to have time to install this add-on part. Also, they should have informed me earlier, like yesterday, or when we dropped off the check in the morning, or even when I was filling out the paperwork. Also, how can you confirm the cars ready when it's clearly not? Incompetence!!! I don't even blame my sales person since he was in the dark as well. This was all the fault of the dealership and miscommunication. So now the car should be ready since they didn't do anything to it. However, I needed to wait another 10+ minutes before they finally brought it to me. Then my sales person had to prep the car by removing the stickers, adding registration, and plates. After spending 10 more minutes doing that he then finally gave me a really rushed demo of the car and I was able to leave. I had no lunch and I was now an hour late for work!!! But wait there's more. Remember how they hadn't installed the promised parking sensor which we already paid for? Well I was told he would contact me in a 1-2 days when it arrived and then I could drop off the car for it to be installed. So a week later they told me it arrived (not 1-2 days). We dropped off the car and after confirming by phone the next day that it was all completed I came to pick it up. Bonus points to my sales person, he answered my phone call and confirmed that for me even though it was his day off (I hadn't realized). I then went to the front desk and asked to pick up my car. They confirmed my name and what I had installed and then told me to go around back to there parts and service since that's where it would have been installed. So I go around back, wait on a line, and then they tell me that they don't handle those installations and I should talk to the dealership around front. Once I explained that's where I just came from, they were super nice and even sent a mechanic to accompany to the front to get this figured out. A+ for parts and service if only everyone was as competent. Then magically, in less than 5 minutes they figured out who I was, found my car and had a really competent sales/manager/executive to take me to my car. I'm not sure of his title since I wasn't really introduced but he seemed really competent and gave off the impression of someone who usually didn't deal with these things, maybe that explains his competence. He then allowed me to confirm it was installed correctly (my current trust at 0), gave me a 30 second demo, and I was able to drive away. Note, at no point has anyone apologized to me or attempted to make it up for my lost time, money, and annoyances. Besides my sales person who apologized about not knowing about the installation delays. To say the least me and my family don't plan to ever buy a car here again. Which is a shame since we previously have been loyal customers for years and got all our Honda cars from this dealership. That said, I would trust their part and services department to service my car, since they were nice, quick, and competent. Also, I would like to note I'm not angry at my sales person, as I feel a lot of the failures weren't his fault. Like the contract math was done by his manager and his only true fault was being overly trusting that his colleagues would get their work done right or timely inform him of issues. Also he was very friendly and was the only person who apologized even when it wasn't really his fault. More
