I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2024 Jeep Wrangler from Miller Motors and, unfortunately, my experience after the sale has left me questioning the thoroughness of the certification and inspection process. Shortly after purchase, I encountered several issues that I believe should have been identified or addressed before delivery. The rear flares and surrounding areas showed significant rock damage that had initially been represented as dirt. A rear taillight was hanging loose at delivery and had to be reattached. As work was subsequently performed on the Jeep, significant dirt was found behind components, and even a mouse nest was discovered inside the tailgate. I also developed a water leak caused by a faulty driver's door seal. I had previously been told by the dealership's service department that I could have the repair performed locally in Milwaukee rather than making another approximately 80-mile round trip to Burlington and was under the impression it would be covered by warranty. I ultimately paid for the repair myself after learning otherwise. There was also a persistent noise from the rear of the Jeep. After additional expense and troubleshooting, a local technician isolated the problem to the tailgate latch—the noise disappeared completely when the latch area was temporarily secured. I understand that a used vehicle will not be perfect, and I did not expect a new vehicle. What I did expect from a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle was a careful inspection, accurate representation of its condition, and clear communication regarding warranty coverage. I raised my concerns directly with Miller Motors and gave the dealership an opportunity to address them. While a gas card was offered, much of its value simply offsets the repeated travel between Milwaukee and Burlington. This review is intentionally factual. Individually, some of these issues might seem minor. Collectively, and occurring so soon after purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, they significantly diminished my confidence in both the certification process and the overall purchase experience.
