I was alright with my service until I got the chip in my windshield, and Paul found it necessary to say again and again that ‘they were unable to tell from the cameras if the chip was already there but not to worry, we’re taking care of it no problem’. To say it once, ok..but once I said the location of the chip is right at the driver’s side front view, and I would’ve noticed it, that ‘we couldn’t tell for sure from the cameras, but we’re taking care of it..’ narrative should’ve ceased. Instead Paul repeated it at least 2-3 more times during my additional hour while the chip was being ‘repaired’. Stuff happens, and I understand that; but it happened while in Big Star Hyundai’s care. When Paul kept repeating that statement, it started to feel like an insinuation as though I could be lying but they were going to do me the favor or taking care of it anyway. It definitely added insult to injury. So to summarize, my first service experience at Big Star Hyundai resulted in damage to my windshield AND me feeling insulted by an employee of this service department. This is the 3rd survey I have completed as requested by Hyundai from various platforms. I have also left reviews on their website, Google, and Yelp. No one since then has reached out, apologized, explained, responded, NOTHING. Says a lot without saying anything at all. Hopefully other potential consumers/patrons will see it though and avoid Big Star Hyundai in Friendswood.
