Great dealership, terrible sales person I had a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee on lease that I was looking to trade for a newer Durango. I met Peter before my foot hit the ground getting out of my I had a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee on lease that I was looking to trade for a newer Durango. I met Peter before my foot hit the ground getting out of my car so we sat with him. I explained what I was looking for and discussed the various Durango levels. He continually tried to talk me out of more expensive models (did my cargo shorts make it seem like I couldn't afford the RT?). I asked him the difference between the GT and GT Plus. He told me they didn't make a GT Plus. When I showed him the Dodge website with a GT Plus, he claimed it must have been new (hint: it's not). Gave me a Durango to test drive so I came back with a list - 8" screen, seat memory, sunroof, blacktop package, Red or Black. We looked at several on the lot with lots of wrong information. He told me the performance hood was part of the blacktop package (it's not) and the lights get black treatment with the package (they don't). He then told me he didn't have what I was looking for on his lot and that the inventory system is often wrong (that turned out to not be true). Tried to shove me into blue, white, or gray models. As we walked back inside I asked some questions about how do we find what we want to which he replied "you have to tell me what you want. I don't know what you're looking for." See above list of specifications. He said he'd be right back and another sales person grabbed me to ask what went wrong and I explained. We were ushered to someone else and I was told he said "i don't know what i did to piss them off, but i guess they don't like me." He ignored everything I said, that's what. a few hours later I drove off the lot with the perfect vehicle from Jason Fonte who listened and knew how to work the inventory search. Had guy from the factory group not intervened, we'd have walked out, run out the lease on the Jeep and gone gone elsewhere forever due to Peter. Jason saved the day and I couldn't be happier. I'm not a repeat Nielsen customer and bringing a co-worker in to see Jason next week. More
