You can NEVER, EVER get someone to answer the phone as if they have no power, didn't pay the phone bill, or simply ignoring the calls. It's absurd. I will never purchase a car from this dealership again. More

Phil was on the ball every step of the way, sending me email updates with production numbers, build sheets and double checking to make sure that the Performance Center in Spartanburg was keeping me in the loop. My buying experience was respectful, no hassel and as simple as can be. My paper work was overnighted to me and always followed up with either an email or phone call confirming receipt. You really couldn't ask for a better buying experience. Phil's a great guy and he works for a great dealership. I hadn't ever purchased from BMW of South Atlanta, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I can assure you that the experience was 10x better than the way I was treated by other BMW delaerships and sales people. If you're in the market for a BMW, you really should give Phil a call and see what he can do for you. You won't regret it! Phil gave me great insight into taking delivery at the Performance Center in Spartanburg. If you haven't done it before, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's a no extra cost option that allows you to attend the Performance school where you reallty test the capabilities of the exact model you purchased on a real track with professional instructors. They teach you about what your exact model car or SUV is capable of achieving. Power braking. Steering during ABS engaged braking. Slalom. Road course. Off road course. And my absolute favorite, a hot lap in a professionally driven M5. It will blow your socks off. The best part is that you're learning on their car, not yours. All the wear and tear to their car with no repercussions for you! They pair you with genius who spends an incredible amount of time explaining your car to you one on one. A very good lunch at the Performance Center. Then, you get an amazing tour of the factory where you see X5s, X6s and X3s being produced. It's incredible and included in the standard delivery price of the car. I can't wait to buy my next X5 from Phil and do it all again. Seriously, consider doing the PCD it's incredible! More

The absolute worst experience of my auto buying life Made a deal over the phone with their GM/Internet sales guru Phil Gwarsinski and bought a one-way plane ticket from Virginia to Atlanta to purchase th Made a deal over the phone with their GM/Internet sales guru Phil Gwarsinski and bought a one-way plane ticket from Virginia to Atlanta to purchase the car. It was supposedly a CPO car, 750LI BMW. I was picked up at airport by nice salesman and that's where story goes awful. I arrived at dealership and car wasn't close to being ready, i.e. it had obviously not gone through their certified pre-owned inspection program. And these folks knew for several days in advance that I was coming down to purchase, as I had already made credit card deposit on car. The test drive was a farce, as the car clearly pulled to the right, showing poor alignment. I even let salesman drive the car and he agreed it had problems. (Remember, this was supposedly a CPO car that had been through a thorough inspection beforehand!!) When we got back to dealership and exited car, I noticed a definite color difference on driver side door, showed the salesman and he acknowledged there had definitely been bodywork improperly done. Now the grand finale: Phil G., who I made the deal with over the phone NEVER came out of his office to talk to me. Not once!! The salesman said GM was "really busy" and so salemsan kept running back and forth between his cubicle and GM's office, trying to determine what they could do about the car. After an hour of this nonsense, I asked to be taken back to Atlanta airport where I bought another one-way ticket back to Virginia. On way to airport, the salesman unloaded on the dealership and Phil in particular. He said my car had NOT been certified and that the manager Phil wouldn't come out to speak with me because there was no excuse for what had happened. I owned BMW cars before and since, but this experience made me realize that just because they're a dealership doesn't make them honest people. I was urged by my local BMW dealership in Virginia to write letter to BMW of America but I never did. What's the use? Poorest excuse for a new car dealer I have ever seen!! And I have been in sales for 24 years, so I appreciate how hard salesman can be, but these idiots were an absolute joke. Edit: The dealer, after reading this review, wants to speak "privately" with me and claims there are factual errors pertaining to my complaints. Dear Dealer, There are absolutely positively NO errors regarding my claims and you can not legitimately refute one claim I've made here. Your dealership is noted by many, many others as being THE worst BMW dealer in the southern U.S. My only regret is never penning a complaint to BMW America when this event occurred. I should have taken the time to do so. I flew 700 miles for a so-called CPO car that was nothing of the sort. You even had a different car in your online ad! And although it was known well in advance that I was traveling a great distance to buy the car and the exact day I'd be arriving, the car wasn't even ready for a test drive. When I arrived I waited at least thirty minutes before ever getting to see the car! My salesman admitted later that the car hadn't been touched and the clean-up guys were trying to at least remove the window tinting before I saw the car. I'd love to see you make a written reply here wherein you explain why it was you Phil, were too busy to give me five minutes of your time that day, instead of hiding in your office behind the relayed excuse that you "were real busy" doing other deals!!?? How many other buyers had traveled across three states to buy a car at your dealership that day?? The salesman told me on the way back to the airport that the entire dealership was poorly ran and he urged me to contact the dealership owners directly. The reason I did not was simple: the managers are the face of the ownership. I assumed the owners were just like their management. More
