BUYER BEWARE – STAR HYUNDAI If you value honesty, transparency, and integrity, think twice before doing business with Star Hyundai. On May 27, I went in to cancel my extended 10-year warranty alon transparency, and integrity, think twice before doing business with Star Hyundai. On May 27, I went in to cancel my extended 10-year warranty along with the vehicle and tire & wheel protection plans. I met with their manager Phil, signed all required paperwork, and was told the prorated refund process was underway. Fast forward nearly three months later, and I’m still getting nothing but the runaround from their finance manager Charlie. No ETA on a check. No straight answers. Just excuses. Today is August 11, and after calling Horizon Portfolio Protection directly, I learned something infuriating: they did not receive my cancellation paperwork until August 6 — over two months after I signed the cancellation forms. That is also the date the dealership marked as the official “cancellation date,” shortchanging me further on the refund amount I’m entitled to. This is not just poor customer service — it’s dishonest and deceptive business practice. Star Hyundai had my signed cancellation in hand on May 27, yet delayed submitting it for over two months, all while holding onto my money and misleading me about the status. If you are considering doing business here, beware: Once they have your money, good luck getting it back. Expect delays, lack of communication, and evasive answers. Document EVERYTHING and prepare to escalate to outside agencies if needed. I regret ever trusting Star Hyundai and hope this review helps others avoid the frustration, dishonesty, and disrespect I’ve experienced. More

I didn’t visit the dealership. I purchased the car through a broker, who obtained the car from Star Hyundai. However, I did interact with Star Hyundai after taking possession of I purchased the car through a broker, who obtained the car from Star Hyundai. However, I did interact with Star Hyundai after taking possession of the car, when I had difficulty setting up my Blue Link account, and no one at Hyundai.com was able to help me. Phillip Robinson, at Star Hyundai, was amazing. He went out of his way to help me fix the problem setting up my Blue Link account. He had the patience of a saint, when I was losing patience rapidly. Too many people don't want to bother going the extra mile to help a customer, and they pass the bucket. Not Phillip, he went 100 extra miles. More
