I was very disappointed with my visit at David Stanley Chevrolet on 7 Sep 2013. I live 150 miles away and found a truck I wanted online. I called the dealership and told them it was a long drive for me to Chevrolet on 7 Sep 2013. I live 150 miles away and found a truck I wanted online. I called the dealership and told them it was a long drive for me to maybe go buy a vehicle. I was more worried about the trade allowance that I would be offered on my vehicle. I let them know that I needed close to 28k for my trade in, and was informed that if they couldn't get me 28k, they could get close. I was told if we couldn't make a deal, that the dealership would pay for my gas for traveling so far. I had an appointment scheduled at 4pm. I called the dealership at 215pm to let them know I was on my way. I arrived at the dealership in time for my appointment and asked to see the truck I inquired about, and was informed that it had been sold 4 hours ago. That irritated me because they sold the vehicle 2 hours before I even left my house. I understand that dealerships get busy, but when I call you before I leave to let you know I'm on the way. The least you could do would be to tell me that the truck you were looking at is sold. I started looking at other vehicles that sparked my interest, and let them do the appraisal on my vehicle. Worst thing that could happen is we don't make a sell and I get reimbursed for my gas. The first offer came on my truck and the offer was 21,500. That wasn't good enough. I spoke with a different salesperson, and the next time I was told was 20,200. They finally agreed and got me a trade allowance of 28k. I was happy. Two of the vehicles I looked out were out of my price range, but there was a 2013 model truck that was bone stock listed at 42,640. They ran the numbers and said the vehicle was 45000 and after 4200 worth the rebates, my total finance cost would be 41k and some change. I mentioned the MSRP was 42640 and he said it's because of the add-ons. There were NO add-ons. It was a stock truck. We couldn't make a deal. I wasn't hurt by that. At least they eventually met me where I needed to be on my trade in. I asked about getting reimbursed for my gas, and he went into the "system" and came back and said that I would only get reimbursed if they couldn't meet my trade value, so I didn't even get reimbursed for my gas. Long story short, I wasn't told the truck I was going to look at was sold before I got there and I got lied to about getting reimbursed for gas. They need to get their stuff together if they want my business. Based on my only experience at David Stanley Chevrolet, I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. On a side note: Ms. Randi was very friendly and very accommodating and did everything within her power, and if I ever come back there, I won't deal with any other salesperson. More
