I visited Jim Coleman Honda in Clarksville on April 7, 2026, prepared to purchase a 2026 Honda HR-V. At the point of finalizing the deal, the salesperson I was working with made unsolicited comments about immigrants “scamming the system,” including references to “border hoppers” and statements about “Pakistanis” taking advantage of benefits. These remarks were unrelated to the transaction and, in my experience, inappropriate in a customer-facing sales interaction. I asked directly whether he believed making those comments would help close the deal with me, and he laughed. I ended the interaction and left the dealership. The following week, I purchased the same make and model vehicle at another local Honda dealership. On April 16, I submitted a formal complaint to both the dealership and Honda corporate (Case #16299793). Honda acknowledged the complaint and confirmed it had been documented. However, I did not receive any written response from the dealership addressing the substance of the issue. The dealership did attempt to reach me by phone, but I indicated that I preferred to keep communication in writing and did not receive any follow-up. I’m sharing this experience so others can make informed decisions about where to purchase. More
