My service manager Tim, reached out to you yesterday August 14th. The reason why the loaner vehicle was not available to you was that you did not come in the initial day of your appointment. Loaner vehicles are normally used for customers who have a Ford Warranty issue with their Warranty is still active or customers who purchased a Ford Protect Extended Service Contracts that are still active. The service department made an exception to give you a free loaner vehicle at the time and date of your appointment. We only have five loaner vehicles available. They are constantly out with customers or scheduled to go out to a customer. We scheduled service for your vehicle to replace two electronic components for the issue with your media system that controls you phone plus other items, and anticipated you would only have our loaner for that day. The loaner was scheduled to go to another customer the next day. The items we replaced have nothing to do with your vehicle’s battery. If your battery is 6 years old, it has lasted more than most batteries that age. The electronic components we replace come from Ford are mostly remanufactured items. As with many electrical components those remanufactured components come with a specific warranty from Ford and if they fail, Ford covers those items for a specific time after the repair was completed. If you are still experiencing an issue with you screen for your media system, we will need set up and appointment to see if those components we installed are functioning properly. We will arrange a day and time for a loaner as we did before as a good will gesture. Keep in mind if you miss that appointment a loaner vehicle may not be available the following day and your appointment will need to be rescheduled when we have a loaner available.
