I purchased a 2018 Ford Edge, advertised as a Value Auto on the internet, with an odometer reading of 104,011, from Access Ford Corpus Christi on 9/2/25. Per the advertisement: Value Auto's must pass a 48 Point Quality Inspection, which includes: tires, brakes, suspension, drive train, engine components, and undercarriage. At 104,068 miles, the check engine light came on. I contacted Access Ford service dept, had to leave a voice mail relating that the check engine light had come on, and never received a call back, which made me wonder if the check engine light had been reset. A purge valve with hoses had to be replaced on 9/19/25. Three of the tires had only 29 lbs air in them and one 32 lbs; they were supposed to be inflated to 35 lbs. Two tires had to be replaced on 10/3/25, one had inadequate tread and the pattern on the other appeared dangerous to me. The spare tire didn't have enough air in it to be used. The alignment was checked and the car was aligned on 10/3/25. I had to have the left rear brake pads replaced and the rotor turned on 11/13/25. I received one electric key fob and had to purchase one. I am very disappointed that I had to spend almost $1,500 and a lot of effort, to correct issues with this car, that should have been taken care before I bought the car, from your dealer. Update: On 12/12/25 I brought this car in for a 6 month oil change. This didn't happen, as some of the heads of the bolts that attach the carpet covering the oil change and coolant drain areas, were stripped. Per this car's CARFAX report: on 6/14/25, Access Ford completed a pre-delivery inspection and changed the oil and filter. Prior to the 9/2/25 sale, I requested that the coolant be changed, which I was told happened. This indicates that Access Ford mechanics, were the last ones to touch these bolts prior to 12/12/25. On 12/18/2025, I talked with the Access Ford Service Manager Scott Young, who related after reportedly conferring with the General Manager (you Randy Bowman?), and said that the only thing that they would authorize fixing, would be for the carpet bolts to be replaced at their dealership. I related that this was unacceptable. I had been in contact with Ani E. Customer Relations/Legal/Lithium Cares and on 12/19/25, I received the following email from her: “Thank you again for reaching out regarding your experience. The dealership has confirmed they are working to resolve your concern. Should you have any future needs feel free to reach out to me directly”. I replied to this email on 12/19/25: “The dealer's very limited offer is unacceptable and does not address any of the major issues”. On 12/29/25, I sent an email request for her to call me and have received no response. *** I would love to hear how this car passed a 48 point inspection and the details of same. I would like to resolve this issue with you in a fair manner without further involvement, but am very skeptical due to how I have been treated during this whole process. Today the odometer reading for this car is: 104,598. TD.
