Called to make an appointment for a transmission flush. Richard Schwarz quoted me $275 for the service, and I made the appointment. I dropped the truck off, and went back the next day to pick it up. I was surprised to see the bill was for $336, $60 more than I was quoted. I mentioned this to Richard, and he hemmed and hawed, made weak excuses, and finally admitted he gave me bad info. I agreed to pay the $336, but was quietly fuming. I then noticed that there was only 8 quarts of Mercon ULV charged for on the invoice. The 10R80 transmission takes 13.1. I questioned this, and talked to a tech, ( Tony) , who said that they had "lost the adaptor" to do complete flushes, and they actually did a partial flush of my transmission. So, 5 quarts of old oil is now contaminating my ( very expensive) new oil with bits of clutch lining, bits of swarf from the manufacturing process, etc. I am very disappointed with Shortenkirk Ford of Jasper. More
