Worst treatment I have ever experienced at a dealership. The salesmen there were gentleman but the finance manager and general manager whom came afterwards to discuss the financing and paperwork for the veh The salesmen there were gentleman but the finance manager and general manager whom came afterwards to discuss the financing and paperwork for the vehicle I purchased were unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely rude. From the verbal dialogue to the nonverbal body language (exasperated sighs, the irritated tones of voice, and horrible choices of words) the entire situation was completely uncomfortable and unprofessional. As a loyal customer who had previously purchased a car there six years prior and frequently serviced the vehicle there, I thought the experience would be as joyful as the first time. Now I can firmly guarantee I will never return, recommend, or purchase anything from this location. Regardless of the situation those employees may have been going through that day prior to my arrival, vocalizing things like I had “already wasted enough of their time”, “i can’t explain the difference that’s just the way things are”, “there is going to be no more back in forth” (in regards to any questions that would arise in regards to the paperwork), and threats that I could either sign in that moment or walk out but they would completely refuse to sell me the car if I dared to return. Keep in mind I had already put a deposit on this vehicle and had been happily counting the days for its arrival. Becuase of the late hour I got off from work and had to find someone to take me to said dealership which is very far from where I live (but again I chose to purchase from Jenkins out of loyalty not convenience) it felt more comfortable returning the next day to go over the papers that way no one would feel forced to have to stay after hours with me. And I expressed that several, several, several times before the finance manager even began printing any paperwork but the response was “no it’s fine we’ll do it now”. However, as the process proceeded and I had more inquiries his irritation grew more visible, his demeanor much more impatient and his attitude completely irritated. When it came to discussing the section regarding coverage and warranties I had to inquire about the Tire and Wheels protection myself becuase he had not bothered to go over it assuming I was not interested. The only reason I knew about the extra coverages was from brochures I had asked for during my prior visit when I had made the deposit. There was no need for so much haste, irritation nor un professionalism on their end. My word to purchase the vehicle was definite. I would happily return in the morning to finish the paperwork properly, with less haste and a small gift I had purchased for my sales representative in appreciation but none of that was possible. I was told it had to be done in that moment, I was not welcome back in the morning, I would be getting my deposit back that night, and any additional questions asked were answered curtly. I highly regret purchasing there but given the circumstances I was literally made to feel I had no other choices. A bad review is not something I take lightly and something I’ve never felt I had to do before. I generally assume some people just have bad days and overlook it but the behavior from this location was inexcusable. From Mike in financing, to Rick who committed the imprudence of mentioning the bonus he would receive depending on the sales they made that week (on the prior visit), to the general manager who stayed that night with Mike to finish the sale which I did not have the privilege to meet in person but I knew of his existence because Mike kept mentioning it was not him who was saying those rude things it was “what he was told” by the general manager. Although he saw my discomfort, recognized the tears that were forming from the pressure I was feeling, and could have easily said “I can tell you are not comfortable and you have more questions, it’s alright, we can wrap this up in the morning. We’ll be ready for ya” he did no such thing. In fact he made it quite clear he would not be there the next day until 11 am so it all needed to happen now. Again, I had already wasted enough of there time as it was. If that is the treatment of a regular customer I would hate to imagine how they must treat elderly customers, people with disabilities, or anyone financially illiterate who just wants to ask questions to feel more sure about their purchase. In an industry focused on sales and customer service it should be obvious that kindness towards others is always appreciated, respect should always be mutual, and education is something you carry with you and express through your behavior. It is not given to you through a degree it is taught at home. I cannot properly put into words the level of frustration, disappointment, and disrespect I felt that day becuase the feelings were so strong I actually had tears by the end of the night and none were from joy. I only hope these individuals truly think about how they could improve and handled that situation better and honestly just find another career choice that would make them happier. More
