Purchased last three cars from them. Dealt with Rob Tong each time. Would definitely reach out to him when in need of another vehicle. Dealt with Rob Tong each time. Would definitely reach out to him when in need of another vehicle. More

He is great about communicating and explaining things and the whole team is exceptionally respectful. Bottom line, because of Dan and other amazing people at Great Lakes, we are confident in trusting all our vehicles to this service team. More

I’ve purchased two vehicles from Great Lakes (formerly LaRiche Toyota) and I’ve always had a great experience. The sales people are knowledgeable and respectful and I’ve never felt pressured. Great service, but these surveys are dumb. I know how they work, you shouldn’t punish staff with a metric that they very little control over. I’ve received half a dozen emails to respond to this and I know if I don’t it counts as negative. And Heaven forbid that some upset Karen gets one use it to absolutely demolish a service department all because she bought a product she doesn’t understand, is unhappy with, or worse yet, she’s just a miserable person looking to take it out on anyone she can. I have had a great experience at this store and would recommend, but seriously do better. Kick dealerrater to the curb. More

The poor rating is based on the fact that the only reason that we wanted to trade in the 2019 Forester was the mailing that GreatLakes sent out in September stated that the Trade in value would be in reason that we wanted to trade in the 2019 Forester was the mailing that GreatLakes sent out in September stated that the Trade in value would be increased by approximately #5,000. Also the mailing gave four examples of the cost to buy four different Subaru models all very attractive deals. However in talking to Mr Tong. he stated that no new Subaru Foresters were available for purchase ( in the GL on line inventory there was a 2023 Forester listed for around $45,000 (with leather seating) which was the vehicle of primary interest.) Again. this was not available for some reason.Mr. Tong then stated that a Toyota Highlander with Leather. was available and would we be interested if the price was right? We ended up buying this vehicle as our previous Toyota experience was always excellent. The Finance Guy then proceeded to tack on a protection package costing in excess of. $4,000 without explaining what all was to be covered, but having already spent Four hours at the dealershjp we were ready to be done with this experience. ( When the vehicle was picked up we were told that this protection plan could be cancelled if necessary) The bottom line is we feel that the Highlander is a great vehicle it was larger and less fuel efficient than the desired Forester. or Rav4 and that the mailing was Fraudulent in stating the Trade in value and availability of new Subarus.
