We were very pleased overall with our experience at LaFontaine Chevrolet in Dexter, MI. Our salesperson, Robert Halfacre, was just wonderful. He was totally committed to helping us find the car we wa LaFontaine Chevrolet in Dexter, MI. Our salesperson, Robert Halfacre, was just wonderful. He was totally committed to helping us find the car we wanted and went to every extreme to make sure that we received all the discounts possible to get the best price for us. He was truly sincere and we at no time felt that he was pushy or just trying to make a sale. I was impressed with the album on his desk, "About me". That sold me on trusting him. Also, each time we came to the dealership we felt welcomed by each person whom we encountered. The young woman who filled out our financing papers was also very helpful and knowledgable about the process and made it very easy to complete. We look forward to a continuing relationship with Robert and the LaFontaine family. More

We have purchased from this dealership in the past and had a wonderful experience. So we did not hesitate to contact them again for a new vehicle. Since our previous salesperson is no longer with the co had a wonderful experience. So we did not hesitate to contact them again for a new vehicle. Since our previous salesperson is no longer with the company we decided to start with there website. While looking over the website we were asked if we needed any assistance. After chatting with online person we had a better idea of what vehicle we were looking for and decided to fill out the finance application. After three days of no contact from the dealership I decided to go back online. I was looking to see if there was any information on the status of our application and a phone to contact the dealership. Once again the customer service rep came on and I explained that we wanted to purchase a vehicle and had already submitted all of our contact info and filled out the finance application. They informed me they would have someone contact us. After another day of nothing I decided to call the dealership again I explained what I have done so far and that I am just waiting for a sales person to contact me. We live an hour from the dealership and in the past purchases have always done as much as possiable over the phone, email, and fax. Finally Keith Davey called and all he kept saying was when you come here we can figure out what you want or what works for you. My husband called the next day to see if he could talk to someone and get some more answers before driving out there. He spoke with Shadrick Bennett. Shadrick informed my husband that Robert Halfacre was our salesperson and would be contacting us. Again we wait. At this point a week has gone by and all the contact we have had with dealership is the times we are calling asking for someone to sell us a car. I sent an email to delaership stating that we are eager to purchase a new car please contact us. We immediatly got a call from Robert. My husband and robert spoke about what we were looking for and our personal information to get this satarted. The next day Robert called us again to give us some rough numbers on how much to put down and monthly payment. My husband told him that it was higher than expected and we would have to think about it. The next day Robert called again to say that he had a few more discounts and has an amount that is closer to what we were looking for. Again my husband called him back and left him a message that we are interested and when could we come by. It has been 4 days and Robeert has yet to call back. Today I called Robert, Keith, and Shadrick through out the day and only got voicemail. So I left Shadrick a voicemail stating that if they want to sell us a vehicle we just need a call back. About a half hour later Keith called and to say he was irritated and annoyed is an understatement. He had no interest in selling us a vehicle and when my husband inquired about the new pricing it had more than tripled. Shadrick should have called back today instead of passing the buck to Keith. Keith has no customer service skills and has no interest in hearing what you have to say, he just likes the sound of his own voice. When Keith speaks he is condescending and rude. Robert was given a sale on silver platter and still couldn't close the deal. More

I recently purchased through Robert Halfacre a new 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ. Robert assisted me to locate the Tahoe after an initial search for a crew cab pick-up. My interest in a pick-up was redirected Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ. Robert assisted me to locate the Tahoe after an initial search for a crew cab pick-up. My interest in a pick-up was redirected by my spouse who advised she would prefer to have an SUV. Robert willingly received this change in direction and promptly provided the search for a Tahoe with specifications we provided. The sale included the trade-in of a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse. I was introduced to Steve Taylor for financing, which included an excellent interest rate for a 60-month contract. All requirements to complete the transaction were clearly presented. My experience in the showroom was cordial and informative. Robert is very knowledgeable about the Chevrolet truck product line and addressed all questions regarding specifications, such as trailering capability and rated fuel economy as a function of axle ratio. Vehicles were brought to the front door of the dealership for my inspection with his explanation of features. The reviews were complete, courteous, and presented with confidence. Electrical equipment was demonstrated by feature. Robert matched me up with the vehicle of choice. Robert was very proud of the new, eco-friendly dealership as we toured the facility. He explained the lighting system through the skylights, usage of vegetable oil in the hydraulics of the service hoists, and water recovery/reuse from the car wash and drain systems. Other employees in the parts department and cashier window were introduced who conveyed a friendly reception and "family" spirit. Robert gave me a thorough "walk-about" of the Tahoe when I took delivery January 16, 2013. A stone shield had been installed per my order. All interior equipment, including electronics, were reviewed, demonstrated, and my personal settings entered. Robert was familiar with every aspect of the truck. Our "LaFontaine family" fleet now includes a 2012 Buick Verano purchased at LaFontaine-Highland and the new, 2012 Chevy Tahoe. I elected to drive 25-minutes to LaFontaine-Dexter as opposed to searching for a local dealership in Brighton based upon the positive experience through "the Family Deal". Robert: Listens well, observes more, understood why I dropped by to purchase a new Malibu. Very professional in moving the purchase towards my needs after trading in my 2010 Silverado. Answered all my questions without hesitation with respect and knowledgable product line features and operation. Keith Davey: Assisted Robert with review and approval of my used vehicle appraisal. Very specific with his response and support towards Robert. Jason: Very open, knowledgeable, and humorous, which allowed me to feel very comfortable about the service departments ability to take care of my new vehicle when I return for regular service. Steve: Provided direct and open communication to me individually and privately, after discussing what my personal budget would allow for a new purchase or lease. This allowed me to to accept and know up front before my purchase, as to what my financial responsibility would be, prior to accepting the terms of my lease. The lease approach was more appropriate than a purchase due to my recent retirement. This was the icing on the cake for me to accept this new vehicle offer. Overall activity, came in a 4:00 PM and drove off with a new vehicle at 6:00PM the same day. I'm totally in love with my 2012 Sonic Sedan, and Sales Professional first car there) and now I've just recently bought my first car from LaFontaine. My wife and I came in to look at cars at the LaFontaine dealership with no real intention to purchase.... Robert Halfacre came out and greeted us and instantly came off as being himself which makes all dealership with no real intention to purchase.... Robert Halfacre came out and greeted us and instantly came off as being himself which makes all the difference in the world to me. He never seemed fake, corny, or like he was reading from a script like so many car salesman that I've encountered before. This to me makes a HUGE difference in wanting to purchase a vehicle from someone! After talking with Robert about our interest in possibly purchasing a Chevy Cruze or a Malibu, he took the time to show us several different vehicles with the options we were looking for, all well trying to help us get the ideal pricing that we were looking for. When it was all said and done my wife and ended up purchasing a Demo model 2010 Malibu that had all the options that we were looking for. Since the car was a demo and had 7k miles on it, we were also able to get it at a price almost equal to the Cruze that we were looking at purchasing! This allowed us in my opinion to get a much more vehicle for our money when considering size, power, and options. My wife and I both feel that Robert was a pleasure to do business with. I will most definitely recommend him and LaFontaine to anyone I know looking to purchase a Chevrolet vehicle! More
