The conclusion of the recall assessment was that notwithstanding the fact the incorrect bearing was used, using a higher weight motor oil going forward was deemed an acceptable cure. My beef with GM is that due to their error I have to pay nearly double the cost for an oil change for the length of time I own the vehicle. That is xx in my book. If that is the determined cure, GM should cover the increased cost or otherwise replace the bearing. More
