⚠️ BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT RELY ON PROMISES AT THIS DEALERSHIP. ⚠️ I’ve owned Mercedes-Benz vehicles for years because I truly believe they make some of the best cars in the world. MERCEDES-BENZ DOE DEALERSHIP. ⚠️ I’ve owned Mercedes-Benz vehicles for years because I truly believe they make some of the best cars in the world. MERCEDES-BENZ DOESN’T NEED PROMISES TO SELL ITS CARS, THE CARS SELL THEMSELVES. Unfortunately, my experience at FLETCHER JONES MOTORCARS NEWPORT BEACH wasn’t about the car. It was about the people. On June 6, 2026, I purchased a new 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 SUV and returned my leased 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE, even though my lease didn’t end until July 29, 2026. Before I agreed to the purchase, I specifically discussed my remaining lease obligations with JOE ELDUMIATE (Sales Consultant) and JOHN LIM (Finance Manager). I was told my remaining lease payment would be taken care of. Joe also told me my disposition fee should be waived because I was purchasing another Mercedes-Benz, and that if I ever received a lease-end bill, I should simply call him and FLETCHER JONES WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. BECAUSE I RELIED ON THOSE PROMISES, I VOLUNTARILY RETURNED MY EQE ALMOST TWO MONTHS BEFORE MY LEASE ENDED. A few weeks later, I received a $1,730 lease-end bill from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. When I contacted Fletcher Jones, THE STORY COMPLETELY CHANGED. Instead of honoring what I understood had been promised, I was told I was personally responsible for the charges. What bothered me most was the way the paperwork was handled. During the finance process, I was signing a large stack of documents. JOHN LIM EXPLAINED THE PRIOR LEASE DISCLOSURE AS MEANING THAT THE ITEMS MARKED “NONE” CONFIRMED I OWED NOTHING TO MERCEDES-BENZ FINANCIAL SERVICES ON MY OLD EQE LEASE. Based on that explanation, and everything Joe had already told me, I understood that I HAD NO REMAINING FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY after returning my vehicle. JOE WAS IN THE ROOM WHILE JOHN EXPLAINED THE DOCUMENT. I even remember holding up the form and asking about it, and Joe reassured me again, “IF YOU RECEIVE A BILL, JUST CALL ME AND WE’LL TAKE CARE OF IT.” ONLY AFTER I RECEIVED THE BILL DID THE DEALERSHIP INTERPRET THAT SAME DOCUMENT COMPLETELY DIFFERENTLY. ASK YOURSELF THIS… WHY WOULD ANYONE VOLUNTARILY GIVE UP A CAR ALMOST TWO MONTHS EARLY… AND KEEP PAYING FOR A CAR THEY NO LONGER HAVE? If I had been told I would still be responsible for the remaining lease payment, I would have simply kept my EQE until July 29. Returning it early would have made absolutely no sense. IF FLETCHER JONES GENUINELY CARES ABOUT FINDING THE TRUTH AND STANDING BEHIND THE COMMITMENTS MADE DURING THE SALE, THEY SHOULD REVIEW THE SHOWROOM AND FINANCE OFFICE SECURITY FOOTAGE FROM JUNE 6, 2026, IF IT IS STILL AVAILABLE. I BELIEVE IT WOULD SHOW ME HOLDING UP THE PRIOR LEASE DISCLOSURE, ASKING JOE ABOUT IT WHILE JOHN LIM WAS PRESENT, AND JOE REASSURING ME ONCE AGAIN THAT IF I RECEIVED A BILL, THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. THIS REVIEW ISN’T ABOUT $1,730. IT’S ABOUT TRUST. PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF. • GET EVERY PROMISE IN WRITING. • READ EVERY DOCUMENT CAREFULLY. • DON’T ASSUME THE EXPLANATION YOU’RE GIVEN TODAY WILL BE THE SAME TOMORROW. I genuinely hope no one else has to go through what I did. Nadia Alshehri More
