If you are considering buying a used vehicle from Corwin Toyota of Colorado Springs, proceed with extreme caution. I purchased a used 2016 Jeep Wrangler here on September 21, 2026. Within 24 hours of dri Toyota of Colorado Springs, proceed with extreme caution. I purchased a used 2016 Jeep Wrangler here on September 21, 2026. Within 24 hours of driving it off the lot, the check engine light came on due to a failed thermostat. I paid out of pocket to replace it at an independent shop, which immediately called into question the quality of Corwin’s pre-sale inspection. Far more alarming, however, was the safety hazard they handed me: the Wrangler was sold with locking lug nuts on all four wheels plus the spare, but without the key. When I asked for the key, the salesperson told me I would have to go to a Jeep dealership and buy one myself. Corwin installed those wheels themselves. Had I gotten a flat tire, neither I nor roadside assistance could have removed the wheel, leaving me stranded on the side of the road. Getting Corwin to address this was nearly impossible. After days of radio silence, management only responded once I made it clear I was going to escalate the issue publicly. Even then, they offered an inflexible window to swap the lugs—strictly before 5:00 PM on weekdays, refusing any accommodation for standard working hours to correct an oversight they caused. Thankfully, the team down the road at Discount Tire stepped up and resolved the issue immediately at no charge. Selling a vehicle without the means to change a flat tire is dangerous negligence. Between an inadequate pre-sale inspection and zero accountability after the sale, I strongly advise taking your business elsewhere. More
