Absolutely horrendous customer service from Shottenkirk Honda of Davis!! My wife and I made an appointment with Vinny to test drive a 2025 Honda Civic LX and were serious about purchasing today. We live 30 Honda of Davis!! My wife and I made an appointment with Vinny to test drive a 2025 Honda Civic LX and were serious about purchasing today. We live 30 miles away so we confirmed the morning of with Vinny that the car will be there. We show up and not only is Vinny not there, they brought a sport model and not the LX we specifically asked for. Mario tries to tell us that the car we want is in Sacramento and we have to run our credit and fill out paperwork before they bring the car which he says will take 20 minutes. I complained that I will not do any paperwork until I see the car and test drive it even if it is new. The sales manager Sagar Sigdel comes out and is completely rude. He tries to talk us into the sport model and asks why we’re interested in the LX. When I complained and told him to not try and talk me into something I don’t want and I want to see the car his people told us was here he told us to give them two hours now to fet the car and if we don’t want to wait that’s fine they will sell to someone else. At this point I was floored by how rude he was being to customers that his team lied to and drove 30+ miles for nothing. I asked for the General Manager’s contact information and Sagar told me he doesn’t have it and has never met him. Ridiculous!!! I hope the GM sees this and contacts me because his sales team has no customer service skills and are running a dishonest practice. Oh and the kicker was Sagar tried to tell me I was being hostile! Apparently sticking up for yourself and calling people out using civil language is hostile now. I guess we should allow sales people to lie to us and then smile while they try and sell us something we don’t want. More

The sales side is very aggressive and clever in representing things a certain way while causing the buyer believe something else. Not the most honest approach. Some women have been known to leave there crying. Phillip Najera is a very tricky character and not altogether honest I believe. The service department on the other hand is very good, prompt, knowledgeable, very good work carried out, also excellent customer service. Very different to the sales side needless to say. This used to be a great place to buy a car before the hard sell guys took over. More

I was pressured into signing paperwork stating that the vehicle was in good condition, without being able to see the vehicle. Upon delivery to me, the new car had hard stains on several areas, including al vehicle was in good condition, without being able to see the vehicle. Upon delivery to me, the new car had hard stains on several areas, including all the glass windows. My issue is yet to be resolved and I've had to drive a significant distant to ask that this be taken care of. When the sun is rising and setting, it is very difficult to see through the glass. More

My experience at the Davis Honda was great ! Mario’s customer service was amazing he was really helpful in breaking down pricing and informational about the cars I was looking at. The are dragging their feet providing me the sales documents I signed which they did not give when the car was purchased. Called several times, emailed and texted but they never responded. Al did a great job getting us the best deal and working within our budget. He was able to get us the car we wanted same day even though it wasn't on their lot. There is a lack of understanding of the product sold. Negotiations as usual are tiring. The car was sold as tow ready and it did not have the harness installed.
