From your description, this sounds like an issue that would need to be addressed directly with Hyundai, as the manufacturer. Unfortunately, we do not have any say in the determination of warranty coverage. We are surprised that Branford would imply this. As was discussed, you will need to provide documentation of the vehicle's maintenance records in order for Hyundai to consider the claim.
