This was probably the worst car buying experience of my life. Here is the story: We found a car we liked on Car Gurus. They connected us to a car dealer, HGreg.com in Orlando, and set up a visit there. We received numerous follow up texts from HGreg confirming our appointment; we even received a price reduction update a couple of days prior to our scheduled visit. We drove 2 hours to the dealership just to find out that the car had left their lot three weeks before. We were understandably upset and frustrated. The car salesman and his manager told us that this was not their fault because they do not create the listings or the appointments. Indeed, the car salesman (who looked like a kid fresh out of juvie) complained that we were “giving him attitude” when we complained about HGreg’s business practices. Trying to make the best of an awful situation, we tried to look at cares that the Orlando dealership would be able to ship in from somewhere else. That’s when we found out that HGreg, besides the ubiquitous $899 “filing fee” (which everybody knows is bogus and pure dealer profit), adds on a suite of vehicle “protection” services to the tune of over four thousand dollars. The car salesman swore that he could not take these additions off because they “had already been applied to the car.” The car we looked at was ultimately over $10k more expensive than what it had been listed for on their website. That’s when we left – knowing that this was not a place where we would like to buy a car – ever! I am still at a loss for words as to how horrible the experience was. It felt sleazy and dishonest. The staff showed very little respect for us as clients and for fair sales practices in general. Apparently, the car we came to the dealership for, the one that had left the lot 3 weeks earlier, is still listed on HGreg Orlando’s website as of today. More

I had a pretty mixed experience with Hgreg. Purchasing my car: This was a simple and easy task; the staff were incredibly helpful, open, and informative. Sean helped me find my car, and Caes Purchasing my car: This was a simple and easy task; the staff were incredibly helpful, open, and informative. Sean helped me find my car, and Caesar helped me with the finance -- both were lovely to work with, and I ended up walking out with the car that I wanted! The downside: I was never informed that the headlights were not functioning on my vehicle. In fact, I didn't even know they weren't working until a week later, when I was in Atlanta and they called me to make an appointment to get them fixed. Apparently I was supposed to receive a paper about it -- something that was never given to me or talked about. I can argue and say this should have been something I immediately checked myself, by the daytime lights worked fine and I didn't think to check the headlights. So came the scheduling of the appointment. Easy enough, I drove out. Hgreg is an hour out, I had no one that could bring me and an uber is $50 one way, so I opted to wait for my car. They estimated an hour to an hour and a half. That's fine, I was prepared to wait 3 hours. It's first come first serve as far as I was told, and I got there at opening. 11:30 hits and they finally work on my car. Come to find out, the replacements did not work -- so I had to reschedule my appointment. No huge deal. The mechanic was nice and tried to get me some gas to make up for the trip, but it turned out they couldn't fill my tank at all because they needed manager approval. They said they would get it next time. Because of how long I was there, I asked that my car be worked on first when I came back in. They agreed, said I would be in at 8:30 and out by 9:30 Friday. I work during weekdays, so these appointment times were incredibly inconvenient for me and made me miss out on precious work time. Friday comes around, I drive back. I get there right at opening. My car is brought in -- I'm not sure if they started working on it ASAP or not, but I wasn't out until 12:00PM. On top of that, they didn't offer to cover my gas, didn't offer to fill it up. Again, I live an hour out. I use a little more than quarter tank to get there and back, and I had to do this trip twice. Two more times than I should of had to in the first place. Normally I wouldn't be upset with waiting -- but when there is no compensation or apology for the wait, and no one keeps to their word, or tries to update me when it goes past the expected time, I become admittedly frustrated. I understand it's not priority to update me, but I'm sitting in the same lobby as them the entire time. Additionally, I should have been informed of the light situation BEFORE driving out of state, at purchase. They obviously knew about the malfunction, yet they did not mention it until a week later. Obviously, the staff were nice, and the malfunction itself was not their fault. The mechanic himself was genuine and sweet, and I appreciate him trying to get my gas covered the first time around. I do believe that such inconveniences should be met with better customer service. I think for the future with my next car, I may turn to someone else that I feel more secure with. On the bright side, their coffee is fantastic. More

Absolutely horrible experience. The representative doesn't care about making the experience of buying a vehicle enjoyable or worth it. It's actually a worse experience than going to the doctor when your sick and the doctor never even makes eye contact or examines you. Instead, they just type into the computer. The car was dirty, never cleaned for presentation, and absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. I know the vehicle was on the markets for at least two to three weeks. There is no excuse for not having the vehicle presentable by the time I set a date to FLY TO ORLANDO FL FROM DENVER CO. In fact, immediately after we bought the car, we didn't even drive it off the lot when the vehicle started making an incredibly loud sound with the AC on. They didn't even bother to check and see what it was and instead told us to take it to a dealership in CO. As of today, I have been waiting for over 4 MONTHS for this dealership to release the title to my bank so I can put plates on my vehicle, and I am still waiting. As far as the cost, on the website it was at a fantastic price point that ultimately drove me to fly out to buy it. We have another 2019 Hyundai Kona Iron Man already, and this one at hgreg was about two thousand dollars less with about the same mileage and same package. However, once the papers were drawn up, the fees were exorbitant and the vehicle ended up costing even more than the first Iron Man we bought, and that was before any add-ons like mechanical warranties.my final conclusion of this experience: don't ever come here. It's not worth your money, time, or the headaches after you leave the dealership. Instead go literally anywhere else where they will at least take care of the car before they put it on the lot. 100% the worst experience and dealership I have ever been to in my life and I will be making sure to write more reviews on every possible website to warn people of the scam-like experience that hgreg provides. Made contact with dealership and inquired about 2017 Jeep Patriot ($11,497). Sales representative Andy contacted me via email as requested. I posed a series of questions with the response someone would conta Patriot ($11,497). Sales representative Andy contacted me via email as requested. I posed a series of questions with the response someone would contact me. No contact was made. I followed up three times with no action. This was my first experience with HGregg and now, my last. My salesman was not listed below. Shame. More
