Andrew, we definitely do apologize that we didn't execute on the situation. We were actually just discussing it this morning. Shayla was unable to address it well since she was off yesterday. I am actually the one that manages our website and this issue has been a very frustrating one. We twice thought that it was resolved, but our website host only fixed it on the individual trucks we noticed it on and not ALL Tundra's. This definitely was not a case of bait and switch. The error was fixed on all Tundra's yesterday by our rep for the website host. I can have him reach out to you to verify this to ease your mind about whether there was anything underhanded. Again though, ultimately this is an issue of customer service as you mentioned based on the circumstances. I do want you to know that we were 100% preparing to respond better today. I apologize that we didn't get to you before now.

In our discussions this morning we agreed that simply sending the image was not the right approach. When I told Shayla yesterday to include the image, I meant to include it as part of the explanation; not simply to just send it on it's own. Unfortunately, it was just poor communication through text on our part with her not being present.
As far as leadership, I can assure you that it was addressed. Our entire leadership team meets first thing in the morning and to her credit Shayla brought the issue up again with all of us. Shayla knows that our customer's are important to us and that something like this happening would be important to us. Again, I do apologize that our response was not timely.

Terrible experience responded
I messaged with Shayla the night before our text interaction when I clicked on confirm price on the listing on your website. In hindsight perhaps I should have asked Shayla at that time if the price was correct, but I don't feel I was incorrect in assuming that the price was what was listed online. In my last text to Shayla, upon finding out the price was incorrect, I stated for that price I would continue looking. I thanked her for her time and apologized for bothering her on her day off (I didn't know it was her day off, and I contacted her during regular business hours) Shayla's response was a picture of the disclaimer on the bottom of the web page. I had made plans to drive almost 3 hours one way to the dealership and was planning on purchasing the truck for the advertised price. The only reason why I didn't make the trip and waste more time was I texted to try to speed up the purchasing process by asking about fees and costs. I accepted the difference and thanked Shayla and apologized. The absolute minimum she could have done at that point was apologize and the maximum would have been to honor the price or try to make it right. I waited to make the review until my previously arranged appointment time with Shayla. I believe attitude reflects leadership and I doubt there would have been any effort without my negative review.

The whole process from start to finish only took about 3 hours. I drove an hour and 45 minutes to look at a vehicle at this dealership and I’m glad I did. All the staff was personable and helpful. Definitely recommend them!
