We have used this dealer in the past and did not have a good experience at all. We decided to give them another chance and that was a big mistake. Although they did handle the issue in the end, the whole good experience at all. We decided to give them another chance and that was a big mistake. Although they did handle the issue in the end, the whole experience was full of empty promises and lies. The technician diagnosed the problem to be a faulty torque converter caused by failed engine mounts. (I approved both repairs to be completed) After replacing the torque converter, the transmission had the same issue with hard shifting and shift flares. Come to find out the transmission fluid was full of metal debris from a failed transmission. (I then approved for the transmission to be replaced) This would have been found if the technician had actually checked the transmission fluid during diagnosing the concern. Not feeling very confident, I had asked the advisor to make sure that he saves the old engine mounts for me. He walked back to the shop and let the technician know that I wanted the old mounts. The advisor told me that he has the old mounts and he would put them in the bed of the truck for me. I had to go to the dealership and retrieve some items from the truck since it was going to be a few days for the transmission to arrive. Upon arriving, I noticed that the old engine mounts were not in the bed of the truck. I called the advisor and let him know the old mounts were not in the bed, he said that he and the tech put them in there. After opening the hood I noticed that the engine mounts ($1,400 parts and labor) in fact WERE NOT replaced. I was now very frustrated knowing that I put my trust in a dealership only for them to try and rip me off. Not only did the technician mis diagnose the transmission, they LIED and said that work was performed when it was not. After 4 weeks of the dealer having my truck, I got a call from the advisor that the truck was ready to be picked up. When I asked for the invoice I was told that they could not invoice it because parts were on the ticket and they could not be removed right now. Then they said we will just run your credit card for the amount of $4,652 and they can email me the copy. ABSOLUTELY NOT!! I was lied to multiple times and they expect me to trust them to just "run my card" without an invoice on what I am actually paying for? The next day the invoice was generated and was paid in full AS PROMISED by me. And just one more thing, the day after picking up the truck I had another shop check the engine mounts. THEY DO NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED!! LIED TO AGAIN BY THE EMPLOYEES AT CARL BLACK!! More
