Was interested in a ‘16 X5. I was told the vehicle was in pristine condition in and out. I wasn’t happy they weren’t able to provide me with a copy of the window sticker. I’ve yet to have a dealer not send me a copy of that sticker. We decided to take the hour drive today to look at the vehicle. I gave them a heads up and was told they’d get the vehicle ready for us . When we arrived we saw It was parked outside, doors unlocked so we checked it out. The exterior was in pretty good condition. However, the interior was pretty beat up! The front leather seats were worn, scratched as was the center console. Also the dashboard cover on the drivers side was bubbling and coming apart. The worst part about a gallon of water on the drivers side floor. It’s obvious there was some type of leak going on for a long time that nobody did anything about. My guess is this was the reason for the damaged dash cover as there were water streaks on the side of the dashboard. When we went to leave we told the 4 sales people standing outside chatting, playing on their cell phones, that “someone should remove the gallon of water from the X5.” One of the guys said the window must have been left open when it rained. He must have thought I was dumb! Anyways beware of this place. We also learned the vehicle was at other dealers and it appears they purchased it from Vroom. I’ll never do business with a Ziegler dealership after this terrible experience!! Also, after reading a lot of other reviews I can understand why they have the reviews turned off on their Facebook page!! More

Sales associates are ripping people off. They charged me $ 29,+ for a used 2018 AWD chevy equinox. The mileage was not correct. One of the salespeople was driving the vehicle home, and within 30 days, the s $ 29,+ for a used 2018 AWD chevy equinox. The mileage was not correct. One of the salespeople was driving the vehicle home, and within 30 days, the screen went out. The two front tires needed to be replaced, and the vehicle needed new back brakes and rotors. I was charged an extra $ 3000 because the vehicle was certified, which was not advertised as part of the selling price. The selling price advertised was $ 21, 500.00. The vehicle is listed as certified because no warranty covers brake pads, rotors, or tires. The sales manager was great to interact with. The service department was great as well. I had to pay $ 237.00 extra for a second key. I was told those vehicles did not arrive with two keys, nor was my salesperson Steven attempting to help me purchase one. Also, I was told and agreed to one price, not thinking I had to second guess him and was signing off on a different price. One of the finance managers ran my credit against my wishes and attempted to finance me $ 4500.00 after I told them I had all cash. Be careful with this dealership if you go there. Otherwise, look elsewhere first. Please and thank you. More

If you have the opportunity to work with a different dealership, do so. My experience with Zeigler Chevrolet in Schaumburg has been terrible. After seeing an email that they "HAD" to sell out their us dealership, do so. My experience with Zeigler Chevrolet in Schaumburg has been terrible. After seeing an email that they "HAD" to sell out their used cars by month end, they refused to discuss any details over the phone or via email. Insisting that I had to be there in person and they could "guarantee" they would work with me to find the right deal on a vehicle they "absolutely had to sell" and with my trade in that they "desperately needed because of a shortage of quality cars due to COVID". After speaking with a used car manager over the phone and making an appointment they assured me the car would be ready to test drive when I arrived at the appointment time and I would be meeting with the the person I spoke with on the phone. After arriving, I was NOT arranged with the woman I spoke with and the car was most definitely NOT ready. The deal was no where close to the price point I stated I needed to be at on the phone call and we ended up not making a deal on a car they "HAD" to sell. Now almost one month later, the car is still on the lot. I have texted the sales associate and left messages to speak again now that I have a better offer for my trade and more money down. No responses. I have called the dealership twice and have been on hold for over 20 minutes and then disconnected from the line, both times. Overall this is the worst customer service I have ever seen. Not worth your time. I suggest going to a dealership group who values their prospective customers and is actually willing to sell a vehicle for a reasonable price rather than let it sit on the lot as they lose out on depreciation. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, BUYERS BEWARE Horrible dealer, full of cheats and con artists: Bought a vehicle 3 years ago from this dealer, upon which during the second week the alternator ga Horrible dealer, full of cheats and con artists: Bought a vehicle 3 years ago from this dealer, upon which during the second week the alternator gave out and had to be replaced. Ever since the alternator was replaced, my vehicle has been in and out of GM customer claims for electrical issues. I figured I would let this slide and give it a try again with my mother to buy another vehicle for her, since my salesman at the time was an exceptional person. Upon revisiting the dealer (1 year ago), they showed me a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox which they were guaranteeing as a reliable vehicle, that was ALSO being used as a demo vehicle for one of the salesmen. Clothes were all over the vehicle including dirty sweaty workout clothes, etc. NOT TO MENTION UPON FURTHER INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE, THE FUEL TANK WAS BONDO'D TO THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE, WHICH WAS NOT DISCLOSED IN LISTING NOR BY SALESMEN, ONLY A MINOR ACCIDENT. EVEN WITH ALL OF THIS HAPPENING, I FIGURED THIRD TIME WAS THE CHARM. NOPE. TO CURRENT DAY: Was reached out to by Nia, claiming there was a buy back program for the 2014 Chevy Malibu up to $9500. I advised her of the condition of the vehicle and mileage as well as my financial standing with the vehicle, not to mention I had a co-signer that was out of the country. She assured me that they could take care of my purchase of a new vehicle and FIND A WAY AROUND MY CO-SIGNER SIGNING A LEGAL DOCUMENT, WHICH IS ILLEGAL. In addition to telling her the condition of the vehicle's driveability, I told her that I didn't know if my car could make the distance since it had been having electrical issues prior to the call. She told me if it makes it into the dealership I will be leaving with a new car. Soon after, I receive a call from Stephanie, assuring almost the same as Nia, saying there would not be a problem with the purchase, and that the vehicle would sell almost as quickly as it was traded in, since parents and college students are looking for vehicles to start out with. Fast forward to current day. I drove to the dealership over 25 miles, 45 minutes in my vehicle, scared it would not make the journey. Leo greets me at the door and escorts me inside, sits me down, gets my phone number, name, and social, and proceeds to run my credit. He tells me there is nothing they can do, and the car is only worth $1500. Credit Denied. Leo then tells me if something improves, I can come back, OR, CLAIM A VOLUNTARY REPOSSESSION and not to worry about it because they will not get their money (what does that mean?) And what would this do to my credit? TANK IT. I asked to speak to the manager, whom I believe was Gabriel. Upon mentioning my story, he didn't care one ounce about my situation nor my concerns and was very dismissive. He tells me my financial issue with my vehicle being under water on the loan is "not their problem". He then tells me that sometimes the cars are better on paper than in person (basically calling my car a piece of xxxx) and that there was nothing he could do. Upon mentioning my previous concern about the Equinox, he asked what vehicle my mother drove and if she had credit to co-sign, that they would sign her and I. Of course at this point... I already have hit strike three on my tolerance of this dealer... rejected his wheeling and dealing with me and walked out. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS DEALER FOR ANY OF YOUR SERVICE NOR PURCHASING NEEDS. THEY ARE ALL ONLY THERE TO PUSH THE CARS OUT OF INVENTORY, MAKE SALES AND COMMISSIONS, AND STICK YOU WITH AN UNRELIABLE VEHICLE. BUYER BEWARE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. YOU WONT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Wasted our time - horrible communication and no process Horrible experience... We called to check availability of a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. The phone sales person said the car was still available for sale Horrible experience... We called to check availability of a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. The phone sales person said the car was still available for sale and was "on the lot". We made an appointment to see it. We received a text confirming the appointment. I texted when we were on our way to the dealership (a 45 minute drive) and the response was that we were "all set" to see the car. We got to the dealership, gave my license and were "logged in"... after waiting for 20 minutes for the car to be brought to the front of the dealership lot, we were told (rudely) that the car had been loaned out before we had arrived. The car was not there and would not be back for days. This dealership has a communication problem and a process issue that does not hold a car that people have an appointment to see.. After we said that we were not interested in the car any more, I received a text saying that we had an appointment in 3 days to see the car. We had no interest but were still receiving texts for an appointment that we did not make. And this was on a "Customer Appreciation Day". I guess the focus was on a service customer not a sales customer. More
