This was the best car purchase experience of my 60-odd years. I routinely loath car buying, being an ex dealership mechanic, I know the business and my knowledge makes me very sensitive to manipulation a years. My salesperson Wendy was a gem of good information, responsiveness, and easygoing humor. I knew she was exceptional after a couple of phone calls. (I didn’t actually go to the dealership until I collected the car.) But in the back of my mind, I was always waiting for the moment when some manager would pressure for an up-sell or would change the price somehow…. But none of that happened! The finance guy was also superb. He showed me the warranty extensions ant the maintenance packages, but I never felt pressured or manipulated. This is the day after the purchase, and I’m still a bit shocked how fair and pleasant and comfortable the whole experience was. For the record, Wendy Permann gave this ex Master Mechanic and current PhD engineer the very best feature walkthrough of his life. It’s what I thought I should have had when I bought a new Boxster from a different dealership, but much better!! I’m a hard core car / electronics nerd, and she really impressed me with her command of brand knowledge and her pitch perfect explanations. Yeah, just the best buying experience ever. Sorry Porche. More
