Hello Jeff, We are disappointed to learn of your dissatisfaction with your recent service visit. Your vehicle was towed into us, without an appointment. Our Service Manager provided the repair quote to you even before the vehicle arrived. Once we confirmed that the vehicle needed a starter, you authorized the estimate provided to you. You had the option to decline the repair at that time, but you asked us to proceed. It is possible you could find a cheaper starter online, but those less expensive parts will not carry the same Ford backed parts and labor warranty. As a Ford dealer, we quoted and installed a Ford remanufactured starter that will carry a 2 year unlimited mileage parts AND labor warranty. Aftermarket starters will not provide a warranty like that. The Ford remanufactured starter was also installed by a Ford factory trained and certified technician. We feel our staff provided you with excellent service, as your vehicle arrived late on a Friday afternoon without an appointment. They were able to work your vehicle in around our other appointments to have you back on the road by early on Tuesday. We hope to see you return to Griffin Ford in Fort Atkinson.
