I have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealer in the past and have had a pretty good experience. However this last trip in I was flat out lied to by the used car manager (Will Floyd) about the condition of t and have had a pretty good experience. However this last trip in I was flat out lied to by the used car manager (Will Floyd) about the condition of the car I purchased. Less than 2 months after I was told by the used car manager there was nothing mechanically wrong with the car, we brought the car in for routine maintenance. The service man I worked with (Andy and the only good thing about this dealer) said there was absolutely major issues with the car and “it never should have left the lot in this condition”. When I confronted the used car sales manager he continued to argue with me and the service associate. After numerous calls to the GM without a return call, the service manager (Andy's boss)finally stepped in and got the dealership to agree there was an issue with the car. Their alternative was to sell me a similar vehicle. So when I came in to look at the other car I had Andy look it over who gave it a clean bill of health. Everything was fine until Will got involved again and tried to charge me dealer fee's for the new vehicle. Um the only reason I was getting a another vehicle was because you lied to me and now you are trying to stick me with dealer fee's? Another call to the GM and corporate Toyota...NOTHING! Finally Andy (yeah that's right the service guy) gets involved gets the dealer fee's waived and off we went. So if you want the runaround, poor customer service, you like being lied to, hung up on, charged fee's for the dealers error, this is the place you should go to buy a used car. Andy was the only person I worked with there with any integrity and should be put in charge of that place. More

When I visited the remarkable Toyota of Charleston Dealership on Hwy. 17 in Charleston in February 2011, I was there on a crucial mission. I needed to buy a four-wheel drive vehicle, FAST! My mom had Dealership on Hwy. 17 in Charleston in February 2011, I was there on a crucial mission. I needed to buy a four-wheel drive vehicle, FAST! My mom had died suddenly, leaving my elderly step-dad, alone, snowed-in, and in very poor health, in a remote rural area of the North Georgia Mountains. His life depended on me, being able to drive through ice and snow, to get to him quickly. With tears in my eyes, I walked through the door of Toyota of Charleston, hoping that I could afford a car that would enable me to rescue my stranded dad. I ha a modest amount of money to make the purchase, because I work in the education field. I worried about how long it would take me to transact a complicated purchase And I worried about whether or not a dealership on the coast, would even have a four-wheel drive vehicle for icy road condition, for sale! Miraculously, salesperson, Avon Bailey, Used Car Manager, Joey, Service manager, Heather Parker and Financial Manager, Chris Fitzgerald (along with receptionist Michele), helped me find the right car, for the right price..and all, within a few short days. The story has had a happy ending..because I drove successfully through terrible weather, to my step-dad, who is now safe. We are both more grateful to the wonderful staff at Toyota of Charleston than we can adequately express! Thank you! More
