Overall very customer friendly environment. Had issues with LoJack which multiple people at dealership all worked on and even provided loaner car to finally allow problem to be fixed. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! !! I seriously had the BEST EXPERIENCE at SouthBay Hyundai purchasing my used Toyota Highlander. I found this car while browsing online 3 nights ago a !! I seriously had the BEST EXPERIENCE at SouthBay Hyundai purchasing my used Toyota Highlander. I found this car while browsing online 3 nights ago and instantly jumped on trying to contact the dealership right away. I filled out information on the website in the middle of the night and before the dealership hours were even listed as open, someone was already calling me to gather more information. Within about 20 minutes after that MJ, one of the sales managers emailed me regarding the car. He let me know that buying the car would be essentially "first come first serve". I panicked inside because this dealership is in Torrance, CA and I live all the way down in San Diego, CA-a 2 hour drive and I was scheduled to work a 12 hour Noc shift that evening. I was told the car was in detailing and that there were a lot of people interested in it. Can I just say I went with my total gut instinct when I told MJ that I wanted to do whatever it took to purchase the car! The car hadn't even finished being detailed and the pictures weren't even uploaded on the website yet. I took a leap of faith and told MJ "if the car is anything like the description listed on the website, I WANT IT! Let's do this". He let me know that Ali, his finance guy was going to try to work his magic... Well, let me tell you that's exactly what he did! He worked his magic getting me pre-approved, I was able to give my down payment through a credit card authorization form and BAM! The car was reserved for me! We drove 2 hours up from San Diego with 3 kids... arrived to SouthBay Hyundai and was greeted instantly. So many smiles around the room. I asked if MJ was available and didn't have to wait more than a second. MJ was so warm and friendly! They offered my kids little bottles of water, offered my fiancé coffee, let us know where the restrooms were, and showed us where we could take a seat while they pulled the vehicle up. Can I just say it was BETTER THAN I COULD HAVE EVER EXPECTED??!! The car was immaculate and more impressive than the details on the website. I fell in love and that was it! Xavier took me on a test drive with kids in tow. Such a great guy! I was in shock and disbelief that everything had worked out like this and that the car was better than I was hoping for. Back to the dealership to purchase my car. Ali ran the final hard credit check and we filled out the paperwork in record time! Everything was straight forward and so smooth. Some way, some how he actually worked more magic and was able to drop my car payment by almost $30/month. While I was waiting for the temporary license plates to be put on, Steven, another manager, came up to me and told me he was really happy and excited for me and that everyone in the office worked to make this happen. (I totally believe it!). He stated that soooooo many people were interested in the car but they were so happy that they were able to make it happen for us! They even filled my gas tank for my drive back down to San Diego. To tell you this was an incredible experience is just an understatement. I was completely blown away the entire time at the hospitality and customer service I received. The whole process took just over an hour because we had completed a good deal of the leg work before I even showed up to the dealership. I have never had such an easy and smooth transaction before in all of my life.! I highly HIGHLY recommend this dealership and the quality of employees and vehicles they retain. THANK YOU MJ, THANK YOU ALI, THANK YOU XAVIER, and THANK YOU STEVEN! And anyone else who made this happen for me. I appreciate you all! More
