I don’t normally leave reviews, but I had a really negative experience when I bought a car at Shottenkirk recently, and I felt compelled to share in hopes that others could avoid something similar. I negative experience when I bought a car at Shottenkirk recently, and I felt compelled to share in hopes that others could avoid something similar. I live out of state, so I knew buying a car I saw online could be challenging. I was hopeful that the sales associate would make the process as easy as possible, but that was definitely not the case! It was so disorganized and stressful from the beginning. There were countless issues that arose and instead of communicating with me during the day, I would get phone calls late in the evening with issues that were out of my control. My biggest issue and the biggest warning I have for others has to do with the warranty they sold me. They presented a warranty for the powertrain for $436. It sounded too good to be true, but I was assured by Tyler Aiken that it was legitimate. He charged me $4,000 for this warranty! He took advantage of me! A large reason I purchased my car when I did was because they promised to deliver my car 2 days later. That delivery was constantly pushed back, and I wouldn’t be told about it until last minute. When my car did finally arrive, there were a lot of scratch marks and dings on the exterior that were not shown in the pictures or disclosed by the sales associate despite my asking. The dealership also charged me to tint the windows, and when the car arrived there were numerous scratches in the new tint. Just really disappointing all around! Finally, I think the most discouraging aspect of the entire buying experience would have to be the complete lack of customer service at Shottenkirk. This lack of customer service is consistent across all departments, manager included. My husband and I were not treated very well, and that left a lasting impression. You may have a better experience if you are local, but if you are purchasing a car from Shottenkirk online, I would caution you. More

Car was filthy and hardly any gas in the vehicle. Multiple scratches on the car that couldn't be revealed until I took it to Nicks detailing shop in Fort Worth. It's going to cost me a minimum of $25 Multiple scratches on the car that couldn't be revealed until I took it to Nicks detailing shop in Fort Worth. It's going to cost me a minimum of $2500.00 to get the car looking as it should, especially with less than 10,000 miles on it.! More

When I test drove the vehicle before I signed the paperwork the engine and tire pressure indicator light was on. I was told it would be fixed before I took possession. I received a call saying it was paperwork the engine and tire pressure indicator light was on. I was told it would be fixed before I took possession. I received a call saying it was all complete. When I showed up 3 days later with the checks the tire pressure indicator was still on. They said they ran a full diagnostic on the vehicle so I don’t know how they missed the tire indicator. The car hadn’t been cleaned either. What should have been a 20 minute visit took over 3 hours. While driving home I noticed the oil had only 18% life left, I would have thought all the cars on the lot would have had an oil change. Additionally, everyone there knew I drove three hours to get there so even though it wasn’t expected leaving with more than 1/8 of a tank would have been nice. More

Drove over 3 hours to buy a Tesla and it wasn’t charged or ready. I put down a deposit before and you knew I was buying it and how far I was driving to get there. We had to wait an hour for it to be washed or ready. I put down a deposit before and you knew I was buying it and how far I was driving to get there. We had to wait an hour for it to be washed even before we got to put eyes on it. We immediately see that it’s not charged up. Had to wait an extra 3 hours while it charged. We had to drive under 65 mph the whole ride home. That left us with only 2% charge left. More
