I am not happy at all with the work that was done. I took my classic Honda CRV to get checked out because the engine light was on. Big mistake going there..... I had no problem whatsoever driving my c I took my classic Honda CRV to get checked out because the engine light was on. Big mistake going there..... I had no problem whatsoever driving my car when I left it there. I had them do an inspection, oil change and diagnostic for engine light. I was told that the reason the engine light was on was because of a broken hose connected to the exhaust system somehow. I was also told that a mechanic there replaced this hose. Two hours later I get a phone call detailing all the things that are wrong with my suspension. I am told that to pass inspection it will cost me about $3300. To do all the work that the mechanic suggest would cost me $5000. The service advisor of Mr. Barth then told me that the car has served me very well and that she doesn't owe me anything and then I don't owe her anything anymore.… Which I thought was very strange. In retrospect I believe they were trying to get me to give up on my car. So I pick up the car the next day and pay $415 for an oil change and an inspection that failed. They had also told me that the engine light went off and that it passed emissions inspection and gave me the sticker for that. When I got into my car started it up the engine light was on. I went back in and told them to please note that on their files. Then the worst of worst happened I could barely drive the car home the shocks /struts were so destroyed that I had to drive very slowly. At this point I was completely traumatized by the experience and now having a car that I cannot even hardly drive. I did find a local mechanic shop where I took the car and he went over the whole thing and basically replaced the entire suspension. He also told me that he looked everywhere and he could not find a new hose that was purportedly replaced by the Honda mechanic. So at the end of the day I spent $415 for an oil change and a diagnostic that wasn't right. I was lied to, manipulated, and traumatized by the experience at Honda Reading . Lying cheating and stealing is not a business model. More
