Sales Manager Errol Gaudette and GM sold me a 2015 Grand Cherokee Overland, VIN 1C4RJFCG2FC698604 on 7/12/22. One week after purchase I brought it back to Tasca for a buzzing noise and grinding/vibration in Cherokee Overland, VIN 1C4RJFCG2FC698604 on 7/12/22. One week after purchase I brought it back to Tasca for a buzzing noise and grinding/vibration in the steering wheel/front end. Had to wait over a week to have it looked at. They replaced front brakes on 8/2, issue was still there when I drove away. Returned back on 8/5, again had to wait days to be looked at, was told on 8/10 the issue was a failed front differential and that the repair was cost prohibitive so they wouldn’t be fixing it. I provided Sales Manager Errol Gaudette with a dozen Service Bulletins and Recall Notices from 8 major auto manufacturers involving noisy/grinding differentials, and that it is in fact a safety issue which can lead to loss of control and an accident when the differential locks the wheels up. Errol Gaudette refused to fix the “major defect” (according to the Federal Buyer’s guide that was in the window of the car when I bought it). Sales Manager Errol Gaudette and GM Tony Parente finally agreed to a buyback under the MA Used Vehicle Lemon Law on 8/15. I accepted the buyback on 8/16. As of 8/27, the refund has not been processed to Navy Federal and the vehicle has been sitting on Tasca Seekonk’s lot since 8/10. Errol Gaudette and GM Tony Parente blatantly violated the MA Lemon Law in multiple ways. Refusing to accept the vehicle for service in 3 business days, twice. Failure to furnish me with a copy of the written warranty document at the time of the sale, and Failure to provide an invoice with my complaint described on it, and parts receipts for the first repair attempt. Tasca is running a Mickey Mouse operation in Seekonk, and they should be ashamed of their management team. I have left messages and emails with the Finance Manager (who I last spoke with about the refund payment on 8/16), that have gone unanswered. Tasca Seekonk, where is my money? You didn’t even register the vehicle with the registry, over 30 days in, as if you knew this was a lemon from the beginning. Throw the car back on the lot and hope the next buyer doesn’t notice, and is stuck with a major defect. Shameful! More
