Adding an extra fee for using a credit card feels like penalizing customers for not having immediate access to large amounts of cash. I understand businesses incur processing fees, but those costs are generally considered part of doing business and are often tax-deductible. Consumers, on the other hand, may be paying interest on the purchase in addition to the surcharge. In my opinion, passing these costs directly to customers makes already expensive repairs even less affordable and is not customer-friendly. More
