Aaqil was very helpful, he did explain in detail all the information for the car that we were looking for. Also the difference between other cars, he was very patient because we were asking a ton of questio information for the car that we were looking for. Sold my car to this dealership 4/13 to a rep named Rusty Ott. 5 weeks later I still haven’t received my check.. Took 20+ phone calls, talking to multiple managers, and threatening to leave bad review for th Ott. 5 weeks later I still haven’t received my check.. Took 20+ phone calls, talking to multiple managers, and threatening to leave bad review for them to even check what the issue was (they wrote my address wrong on title request). Tuesday I was promised I’d have the check by Friday. Friday I spoke with Rusty he confirmed he had the check and it would be dropped off that day. Now here we are Sunday and still no check :( More
**BUYER BEWARE*** The stereotype that car dealerships have about doing anything to make a profit, lack of ethics, integrity and honor, fits the salesman Roger ‘big mac” and Taha to a “T”. This dealer’s have about doing anything to make a profit, lack of ethics, integrity and honor, fits the salesman Roger ‘big mac” and Taha to a “T”. This dealer’s sales tactics are stuck in the 70’s and 80’s; they have not evolved and do not understand that consumers today are more savvy, informed, connected, and empowered. They have access to vast information, opinions, and options, shaping their decision-making process. I got a price on a new 2024 CRV thru True Car, the dealer said over the phone they would honor it, when I went there it took 95 minutes before I even saw and drove the car. They low balled me on my trade and would not honor the True Car price, even when I was not interested in trading my vehicle. Taha was the first salesman that waited on me, he was rude and full of himself; spoke to me like I was beneath him. He took my license and left without saying anything, After 15 minutes I walked out and only came back because I forgot they had my license. A man identified himself as Big Mac said he would help me; all he did was complain how busy he was and had other customers that he should be helping and not me and was only helping me because his manager said to. He kept going back and forth to his manager on the price and got very rude when I told him that I already had a price from True Car on the 2024 CRV EXL which I was told they would honor and was looking for them to value my trade close to what KBB says its worth. I eventually got up and left when his manager said that they were not able to honor the price I got from True Car and he could help get another vehicle in that price range just not a 2024 CRV EXL. I have been buying cars from McGrath dealerships for almost 30 years, based on this interaction; I will take my business somewhere else in the future. This is a very competitive business and there are many dealers that are not stuck in the Stone Age and would want my business. More
Dealership at McGrath Honda was good overall. Traded in a used car for a used car. What I really liked about the sales experience: 1. I was able to talk to someone whenever I called their Traded in a used car for a used car. What I really liked about the sales experience: 1. I was able to talk to someone whenever I called their listed Google phone number. 2. I was greeted by the sales people at the entrance and inside and was attended to about my needs each time I visited. 3. The sales guy that I worked with (Garry) was very professional, laid back, and less pushy than other sales guys I’ve dealt with. He listened very attentively and provided very realistic expectations. He went the extra mile as to even get the car I wanted to test drive ready through the rain, and allowed me to take a look at the car in their garage while it was raining. 4. The dealer was able to beat my credit union pre-approval rate, which was actually surprising! (Given my rates from the Union was competitive). 5. Sales guy sent a follow-up email to check on how I’m doing a week after the sales, which signifies great professionalism. 6. Being able to share documents via text message in realtime. 7. Hospitality. Says guy (Garry) went the extra mile to provide us bottles of water as we waited. Not much, but was appreciated. Where I think there is room for improvement: 1. Any vehicle you call to inquire availability, you’ll get the “people have been asking about it” line, creating a false sense of urgency. All dealerships do it. It’s unnecessary. 2. Trying to sell you another vehicle other than the one you called to inquire about. If I called asking about a specific vehicle, it means that I checked the other vehicles as well. But I guess this comes with the sales territory. 3. Providing suggested monthly payments and loan terms without showing what rates were used for the calculation. I would rather you showed possible scenarios of interest rate range to go with credit score range. Finance guy was not pushy after I explained what I was looking for. 4. Lowballing on trade in value. Expected of all dealerships. Finance guy eventually “worked” to accept my realistic counteroffer. 5. Thorough detailing of vehicle being bought. Not a big deal. I was expecting dealer to at least clean all the nukes and crannies when they said they were “detailing” the car while the finance phase was ongoing but it turned out to be just a standard car wash. Previous owner had dogs some shedding was noticeable in all imaginable spaces. 6. Filling up the gas tank of purchased vehicle. Not a biggie but would be notice to have. 7. My pet peeve: lack of encryption or firewall to access electronic copies of signed documents via email. After electronically signing all documents, you receive a link via email to download customer copies. Although these signed documents contain sensitive info such as your SSN and personal identification information, there is no firewall on the link to prevent someone with access to your email to download the information using the link. Dealer provided option for paper copies and recommended not to click on the link to download the signed contract documents. I think it should be addressed in the future to protect consumer information. 8. The usual paint and extended warranties that dealers try to sell you. Sales and finance guys were not pushy put you could tell they tried. Overall I’d say it was a good experience! More
