I had one of the most pleasant experiences ever in the purchase/lease of a new car at Coastal. I walked in without an appointment, Joe Letorney (one of the managers) came out and had us work with Evan Cho purchase/lease of a new car at Coastal. I walked in without an appointment, Joe Letorney (one of the managers) came out and had us work with Evan Chochrek (one of his sales associates). They truly love VWs, and so do I! Both of them took the time to sit down with us, explain the new EV we were looking at in tremendous detail and definitely went above and beyond. I had visited other dealerships to see this model but I learned more about this car in an hour or two with Joe and Evan than I did anywhere else. They blew away my expectations. I would go back and purchase a vehicle from them again and would recommend anyone else to do so as well. Nothing but great things to say about everyone we worked with over at Coastal! More

Ryan Getzinger was extremely unprofessional by refusing to speak to a customer inside the building like a human being. Instead Ryan Getzinger insisted for nearly 1 hour to only talk to the customer OUTSIDE in a subhuman manner. Needless to say, customer didn’t allow this dealership to touch their vehicle because it was obvious that they were unprofessional, incompetent, discriminatory, offensive, rude, disrespectful and most importantly male chauvinistic group. It is disappointing, however, it is true. They love a certain demographic of customers, and heavily discriminate against another “demographic” that they deem “less than.” As shocking as it is to experience this sort of racism in 2024, it is more disappointing and unfortunate for Coastal VW to have the audacity to treat their customers as second class citizens, solely because of their ethnicity. They were very helpful in getting my car back on the road and running smoothly again. Tested and replaced the battery since my car wouldn’t start at home without being jumped, and performed the 30k service b and running smoothly again. I had a great experience at Coastal VW… Jake Arena was our salesperson and he was anything but pushy. He was very laid back and easy going. The salesman, Evan, was pleasant and easy to work with. Like most dealerships, I had to work through the back and forth with Evan and the sales manager, which was a little disappointing but not surprising Like most dealerships, I had to work through the back and forth with Evan and the sales manager, which was a little disappointing but not surprising, I suppose. Following the sale, I noticed some missing elements from the car (my fault - I should have caught them sooner), and when I reached out to ask about them, they responded after a few days and, to their credit, agreed to take care of them, thereby building some goodwill with a relatively easy gesture, but one that not every dealership would do. I've been driving VW cars since the '80's and when the time comes to buy another one I will start my search with Coastal, as I appreciate a dealer who prioritizes building a relationship over short term profit. More
