words of advice --- when you walk in to this dealership ---put one hand on your wallet AND read the fine print Before you sign anything !!! they SOLD me and extended warranty on a used truck for $1200( th ---put one hand on your wallet AND read the fine print Before you sign anything !!! they SOLD me and extended warranty on a used truck for $1200( their salesman began his sales pitch for somewhere north of $2000) . i decided to try to cancel it a 15 mos. later since i was still under the 3yrs -36 mos. manufactures warranty and the extended warranty didn't kick in until after manufactures warranty ended. i called FORD to see if i could cancel and was told by them that i should never have paid $1200 ,that it should have cost me $75 for a simple transfer of warranty since original owner of the truck already paid for the warranty. i called the business mgr of colonial ford ,mark b. and told him what ford said..he was CAUGHT ,but instead of apologizing he actually tried to convince me that what he did was justified. he said that he paid the original owner more money for the trade than he wanted so he felt he should get his money back from me!!!! i paid him exactly what he wanted for the truck --he would not drop his price one cent. telling him i wanted my money back ( minus the $75 for the transfer fee -- a total of $1125) after hearing what FORD told me, he finally agreed OVER 1 month later , after numerous excuses, i finally got a check. only problem ,the check was for $1075---NOT for the $1125 he owed me. upon calling him for the rest he actually had the stones to say " your really going to beat me up over $50". Finally after another 2 weeks and a couple more phone calls to him ,i got the rest of what was owed to me!! ... i would not even have known about this scam if i didn't call FORD to cancel this warranty. one more thing ---because i didn't find out for 15 months, colonial ford cost me approx. $60 in interest from an additional $1125 to my loan More
