Having leased a 2022 Genesis GV70, I have literally undergone nonstop issues with this vehicle. Most recently, I scheduled routine" service at 1 of 3 locations within Washington state. Acknowledging supply and demand, I booked an appointment in November 2023 and was advised that the 1st available appointment was 2 months later on January 23rd, 2024. Upon exiting the holiday season, imagine my astonishment to reach the date of my previously scheduled appointment whereas I was met with a phone call from the Service Department. Beneath the impression that they'd arrived to my home with my courtesy loaner car, which is alleged to come inclusive to a lease provided you're the vehicle's original owner and are within warranty, I was advised by the Service team that they were unable to locate me within their system and couldn't perform service. My appointment was canceled quicker than a sinner can testify on Easter Sunday! Oddly enough, my account is able to be retrieved minus any such delays whenever the $976.00/mo monthly payment is due!!! Things that make ya' go, "Hmm...' Nonetheless, I was driven (no pun intended) to reach out to Genesis Consumer Affairs (Ph #: 877.340.9741) and upon explaining the dilemma they attempted to pull up this particular Genesis dealer location in Everett, Washington. Nothing existed! In sheer astonishment and utter disbelief, I Googled this very same location that I'd frequented for the better portion of 3 years only to promptly be rerouted to a nearby location in Kirkland, WA just north of Bellevue and a 20 minute drive across the lake from Seattle. As it appears, the Genesis of Everett location that I'd secured my appointment with some 2 months earlier had closed shop - PERMANENTLY within that 10 minute duration of time! To this, I issue a million xxx's???! Pissed beyond pisstivity, a case was filed and another appointment for service had to be scheduled for (wait for it) - another 2 months later at Genesis of Kirkland. Yet, upon waiting this 2 month duration - 4.5 months in total for simple service, I flew out of town for a Conference dropping my keys off and Ubering to the airport from this dealership just to return 8 days later, obtain my keys and 1 week after having service performed here - attempt to start my vehicle, again..... a 2022 Genesis GV70 Prestige with all of the bells and whistles, only to view every light in the dashboard known to mankind illuminate; from check engine to check transmission to brake failure,.... just for the car to NOT start!!! Seriously??? So much for competing with Lexus, Infiniti and Acura with reliability! The vehicle was then towed directly back to Genesis of Kirkland where it has politely occupied space for the better portion of 45 days! The icing on top of this xxxx cake would be the undeniable fact that due to there now being 2 dealerships solely within the entire state of Washington, one in Kirkland and another in Vancouver, WA some 120 miles south near Portland, coupled by the inundation of Genesis commercials and ads to continue marketing and selling these gorgeously loaded but visibly faulty vehicles, NO LOANER VEHICLES are being offered to customers within their period of waiting while being inconvenienced. Period. Allow me to repeat that for anyone in the nosebleed section: NO LOANER VEHICLES ARE being provided to customers while their vehicles sit idly to await parts and repair, despite one's lease requiring this! I am now 34 payments into a 36-month lease, my Genesis was just diagnosed as being a lemon and simply because I have a life -- I am now paying the cost of a rental car from Enterprise to the tune of $700.00/week completely out-of-pocket until this vehicle is purchased back from me, and the icing on the cake my lovely literate friends, is the fact that this is the 2nd of 2 Genesis's that I've leased! The 1st, a 2019 Genesis G70, purchased in Palm Springs, CA was a damned lemon as well! More
