I called on 7/27/23 and spoke with Austin (Genesis Advisor) to schedule an appointment for my first oil change on my GV70 2.5T. I was told that he could get me in on 7/28/23 at 3pm. I explained to him I was coming from 200 miles away. The only reason I came to the dealership to have my oil changed in the first place is because I cannot find an oil filter for the vehicle. When I arrived at the dealership I was told it would be a 3 hour wait. Austin advised me that I did not have an appointment scheduled and denied ever speaking to me. I contacted the Service Manager on my way home (Ryan) and left him a message, he did not return my call. I think Austin simply assumed that at 3pm on a Friday would be no problem to fit me in for an oil change and did not actually schedule it therefore there was no record. I get that, but to flat out lie and say you never spoke to me is uncalled for, just say you screwed up. I would not recommend this dealership for service. The car buying process was simple but why wouldn't it be, It's not like you can negotiate the price in the current market you just pay what they are asking (or more) and you can do that at any Genesis dealer, no need to have loyalty at this point. If you want returning customers in this market you have to try a little harder. Every dealership is offering the same deals- MSRP. Not sure why the service manager did not return my call but he probably wouldn't have been able to do anything anyway but it would have been nice for him to at least call me back. More
