Powering the 2018 Traverse Premier is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, paired with a smooth-shifting 9-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available for those needing added confidence in poor weather or on rough terrain. The V6 delivers ample power for highway merging and family road trips, and despite its size, the Traverse handles with surprising composure. It also offers up to 5,000 pounds of towing capacity when properly equipped, adding to its versatility.
