The Pathfinder receives a comprehensive redesign for the 2022 model year. The cabin features room for seven or eight passengers across three rows, and Nissan offers a host of standard driver-assistance and infotainment features. Completely new for 2022, the Pathfinder sheds the frumpy design of the 2020 model in favor of a rugged and modern look. Nissan's attention to sound deadening elements makes the cabin extra quiet when cruising. Nissan has integrated more storage cubbies this time around, including a large bin below the center console that's accessible by the driver or front-seat passenger. The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is a major improvement over the outgoing model in just about every way. It's more spacious and more pleasant to drive. Nissan has given it a lot of in-car tech and driver aids too. Overall, the Pathfinder does a good job of hauling people and cargo in relative comfort. Compared to the 2020 Pathfinder (there's no 2021 model), the new Pathfinder has more muscular and upright styling, a new nine-speed automatic transmission, retuned steering, additional interior storage and new technology features. We're also pleased that Nissan revised the Pathfinder's suspension tuning for 2022. Especially in the area of technology, the Pathfinder has grown up quite a bit.
