Matt Lamoureux started his career in the automotive industry as a Sales Consultant for a Massachusetts Toyota dealership. After displaying organizational skills, a keen business sense, and signs of leadership, Matt was quickly promoted to a position in sales management. From this position, Matt built a foundation of knowledge, which he was later able to call upon as the Director of Marketing & eCommerce for Acton Toyota.
Matt graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bentley College (Waltham, MA) in October 2000, with no intentions of joining the retail auto industry. Yet, while the Director of Marketing & eCommerce at Acton Toyota, Matt found himself not only a member of the industry, but also a key player in helping to revolutionize it. Matt is widely recognized in the automotive industry for his ability to leverage consumer review sites, such as DealerRater.com, to help dealers grow internet business and gain market leadership.
In June 2008, Matt joined DealerRater.com as the Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Planning. Matt is a visionary determined to “change the way America buys cars.” Matt’s goal with DealerRater.com is to help forward-thinking dealerships increase market share, and to provide consumers with honest, invaluable dealership history reports before they decide where to spend their hard earned money.
Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. His favorite car is a BMW M3 and his favorite dealership customer service perk is the complimentary car wash.
