DealerRater Announces Preliminary Results of the 2014 Dealer of the Year Award Program
DealerRater unveils current front-runners of the 2014 Dealer of the Year Program. Final results will be announced at NADA 2014.
Waltham, Mass. - DealerRater, the world’s premier car dealer review web site, today announced the current front-runners for the 2014 Dealer of the Year Award Program. The awards are given annually for distinction in outstanding customer service based upon customers’ reviews of their dealership experiences shared on DealerRater’s web site. Final results will be announced at the 2014 NADA Convention and Exposition, in New Orleans, LA, January 24-27.
“For the 2014 awards, we’ve posted the initial front-runners in advance to give dealers a few more weeks to put the pedal to the medal if needed and make a last final push for the finish line,” said Chip Grueter, president of DealerRater. “With the growing importance of dealership reviews in the car-buying experience, our Dealer of the Year winners are able to differentiate themselves for competitive gain over other dealers across North America.”

DealerRater’s Dealer of the Year awards are given each year to car dealerships that have the highest PowerScore™ in their brand category, both at national and state levels. Each dealership’s PowerScore is determined using a Bayesian algorithm that considers the dealership’s average DealerRater star rating (calculated monthly) and the total number of reviews written about the dealership during the calendar year. The dealership must also have at least twenty-five (25) new reviews written on DealerRater’s web site during the previous calendar year and an average rating greater than 4.0, with 5.0 as the highest possible score.
