We had started to get a little discouraged when we hadn't found many viable options that we both liked. That is when we had stumbled upon Tom Daniels at Autonation Ford. Although we initially didnt see that many used vehicles on location, Tom ended up locating our new 2011 mazda cx7 @ other sister store in Florida. He really found the perfect vehicle for me and my husband! We both love it! The finance guy was also a big help, I dont remember his name. Worst Experience!!! BUYER BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP!! My husband and I needed to replace our 2008 Pontiac Torrent. I was referred to Brian Freeman(the GM) who then referred me to Doug, since Brian was not My husband and I needed to replace our 2008 Pontiac Torrent. I was referred to Brian Freeman(the GM) who then referred me to Doug, since Brian was not going to be available to help me. We drove all the way from Elkton FL to Jacksonville to meet with Doug. We arrived at 10:30 am and began to discuss what we were looking for. I saw an Odyssey in Clearwater Fl at the AutoNation there and was looking for it be transported to Jax. First, I was told they could do it. Then after going back and forth about pricing for 45 mins, they tell me the warranty was non transferable and it took for ME to ask. That did not make sense to me... aren't they all AutoNation? Anyway, that killed the deal so we went on the lot and looked at some Explorers. We test drove 2 and a Flex. Did not like the Flex and the Limited Explorer was overpriced. So we decided on the 2012 Explorer. After going back and forth with the finance guy Paul for 2 hours (who was the rudest person I have ever met) I finally asked Doug to bring Paul in to me face to face because the whole time we were negotiating, Paul never stepped foot in the office to introduce himself. I sat Paul down with us and told him my terms and that I was ready to put a sizable down payment down but he needed to come down in the price. The price was 29K. My husband and I decided to go eat (at 2:30pm) and he tried the old salesman trick "take the car to lunch." Yeah right. So we took the Torrent and I went on to KBB and cars.com to get the value on the car. That style with mileage came back at a dealer sale value of 23K!!! I called Bozard Ford in St. Augustine and they had the same model with 8K more miles for 23K. I went back to AutoNation to give them one more shot at my business and to share what I found on KBB. The statement made to me was "If you want this car, you will go 72 months (which for a used car is a silly financial decision)." I asked him to come down 5K and he told me to go 72 months again. I refused to go 72 months as I put over 100 miles a day on my car and the value of the car would be worth nothing in a few years, but I would be paying on a 72 month loan.... WE WALKED!!!! I went to Bozard Ford and drove off the lot with my new car that day with no hassle in under 3 hours and wasting 5 hours at Autonation.. Brian Feeman called me 4 days later after I left him several voice mails and messages to call me back. His response to my experience and my result of buying elsewhere "that car you bough must have issues." I have owned the car from Bozard for over a month now and LOVE IT!! NO ISSUES and they put leather in the car without an up charge. THE ISSUES IS WITH AUTONATION FORD!!!! Buyer Beware!!! Do your homework and get the value on the car prior to buying from them... they are in the business to rip the buyer off!!! Unfortunately, I have shared my story with others and they have had similar experiences. Not a good reputation in this area! More
RIP OFF I purchased a used vehicle,from Michael B Hanley, and he sold me an extended warranty on May 22 2014. And on 8-6-2014 i called the Warranty company - Western General and i gave them the contract # for the warranty, and they told me they have no record of the contract, and know nothing about the warranty. Apparently mike took my money for the warranty and riped me off. Theif More
From the moment they answered phone, I knew it wasn’t going to be good, (a knowledgeable person should answer and set appointments). Service tech- Tom Summers; his approach was short and rushed, bad approach since I ended up spending $2K for a new water pump (VERY BAD design Edge “Architect”). Time frame quoted was delayed, once I got my car back items were missing from it, my phone/car charger and I guess the mechanic liked the smell of my perfume so that was missing also. I called Tom and he completely BLEW ME OFF, maybe it’s because I’m a women. AWFUL Customer Service! I knew I should have taken my car to BOZARD Ford, and next time I defiantly will. I am extremely dissatisfied with Auto Nation Ford of Jacksonville. More
I went to AutoNation to purchase a new car as I had been extremely happy with their service department for the last 7 years. I was equally impressed with the sales department. I wanted to purchase a Ford extremely happy with their service department for the last 7 years. I was equally impressed with the sales department. I wanted to purchase a Ford as I wanted to buy American and also reward the company that did not involve itself in the government bailouts. Greg was extremely helpful, knowledgable, and made the purchasing experience very enjoyable. Many people in the office pitched in to expedite the sale as we were pinched for time. They couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Aside from all of that I love my new Explorer and my only regret is that I didn't get one sooner. More
I am so happy with my experience at auto nation so far! Greg was great. The first time we went to auto nation he was super busy but still took the time to listen to what we needed and our budget. He found a car that suited all of my needs and wants! He went above and beyond every step of the way. We never felt pressured like we did at many other dealerships ( and we probably went to all of them trying to find the right car and the right deal). Greg offered financing through auto nation but did not try to shove it down our throats when we told him no. He followed up with us throughout the whole process even offering to meet us when he got an extra key for my new car so we wouldn't have to drive all the way to the dealership. Al and Paul (in service) was awesome as well. I am so impressed with the care and time taken to help us after the deal was done by everyone at auto nation. I am thrilled to tell my friends and family what a good deal we got at auto nation and how fantastic everyone was. More

My experience at AutoNation began positively. I was able to test drive a car that I was considering, and Alan had a lot of things to say about the car and different pricing options and I was really optimist to test drive a car that I was considering, and Alan had a lot of things to say about the car and different pricing options and I was really optimistic. However when the final pricing plans were brought out, they were well beyond what I was expecting and what I had expressed my price range to be. While I understand that the goal of the salesperson is to convince me to spend money and that their commission depends on it, Alan was way over the top and added extras to my plan, telling me I "needed" them without ever getting me to agree to them in the first place. Furthermore I was not very comfortable negotiating a lower price - when I tried to, Alan stated that taking out the "extras" wouldn't really lower it all that much and it was pretty much set in stone. I left without making any commitments, and over the next few days I pursued other options. When I found a vehicle that suited my needs and budget, I alerted Alan to let him know that I would not be doing business with AutoNation and thanked him for his time. He responded to this email by completely ignoring what I said, attempting to pressure me into getting a car through him by saying that the car I was looking at may sell. I was appalled that he would completely ignore my refusal to do business with him in such a rude way, and would definitely never consider going to AutoNation again. More
John and Dale were top notch. Price of the car was fair. John worked hard on my behalf for the sale and Dale put together great financing for me with an extended warranty.
