11/19/2015 Jim, sorry we could not do business. Two weeks had passed from the time you came in until the time you decided to purchase. Unfortunately at that time the same promotions were not available. I'm sure you understand we can't hold prices; and sales and coupons expire. We have been a family owned and operated business for almost 70 years. Customer service is a priority for us. Mr. Fretz, Thank you for taking the time to respond to my review. I totally understand that from a businesses perspective that no dealer can hold a price for a customer for an unlimited time. That was not my request. I apologize about any miscommunication but that was not my issue or reason for writing about my dissatisfied experience at your dealership. I will attempt to clerify the issues for you and other customers. My concern was that I did not feel that Al ( your sales rep) and others on your team were being honest and upfront with me through the sales experience. Here are some examples about my concerns. We agreed to a price. I was honest about when I was looking to take delivery of the unit (several weeks out). I told Al ( the sales rep) that I would need to think about our negotiated price. I was not not made aware of a deadline or Jayco incentive. Al called me nearly every day to get my deposit as any good sales rep would do. He made no mention about a concern about a price change due to an expiring Jayco incentive. The day after our negotiations Al informed me that you ( the owner) did not like the deal. From a business perspective this should be concerning to you that your sales team is making potential deals that may not be authorized by you? This is a huge waste of your resources ( employee compensation/time) and of the customers time. That issue got resolved but from a customer persecutive it was red flag number one. My second concern was when your sales rep ( Al) informed me that the price of the unit that we had agreed to had changed due to a " $1000 Jacyo incentive that had expired". This only came up when I asked for a written transparent breakdown of the deal. I have communicated with several other Jayco dealers in your region and none are aware of a recent $1,000 incentive? From a consumer perspective something did not feel right again considering feedback from other high volume Jayco dealers. This was red flag number two. During my experience with your dealership your finance team attempted to give me an interest rate over one and a half percent higher then all other dealerships were offering tier one credit customers (812). This issue was corrected after I confronted the issue but I do not believe that customers in this situation should have to go through this hassle. This was red flag number 3. The inconsistencies and high pressure tactics resulted in me purchasing my unit from another dealer. Again, I hope this clarifies my concerns to you and all other perspective customers. I would never expect anyone to hold a price for a customer. I do expect transparency with agreements, deadlines ( if appropriate) and a pleasurable buying experience . Unfortunately this did not happen at your dealership. I see that several other folks have experienced a similar experience based on the reviews. I think that you have a beautiful showroom, a great selection of units, and the pricing that we discussed was very reasonable. Hopefully the issues that I addressed will be taken seriously and will be rectified.
