I walked into the dealership with a pretty specific idea of what I was looki Very pleased with my recent car buying experience at Advantage Chevrolet. I walked into the dealership with a pretty specific idea of what I was looking for, having already done a lot of online research. I met with Charlie Watson, who sat with me and in a non-pressured, conversational way asked me what types of vehicles I was looking for. He jotted a few notes, asked a few more specific questions and then took a quick look on his computer at inventory. In what seemed like under 5 minutes, he told me to follow him to an inside garage where no fewer than 4 cars waited that met my exact criteria. It was freezing out, and so nice to have a pleasant inside space to view the cars (not sure what behind the scenes magic he and the crew pulled to have the four vehicles inside and ready for me to look at without him leaving me alone at his desk for lengthy periods of time like I had experienced at other dealerships earlier in the day). I was able to take my time and size up each vehicle and listen to Charlie as he explained in detail the attributes of each one. I test drove two of them and Charlie continued to share his vast knowledge during our trips. I left the dealership that day feeling very encouraged that I had just driven the vehicle I would likely purchase. Charlie did not try to hard sell me in any way, and in fact came off more as a friend who just happened to be very knowledgeable about cars and was just sharing what he knew and hoping I found something I liked. Charlie and I shared a few texts over the coming days about one of the cars and made arrangements to meet again to close the deal. I had secured my own financing in advance, so once I was back at the dealership, the entire process was wrapped up in under 2 hours, including a final test drive. I met with Ryan Sitter, a finance manager who was the picture of efficiency. By the time Charlie saw me into his office, all the paperwork was already underway and all I had to do was add a few signatures! I had a small case of car buying "nerves" hit me and became a bit confused over a few details, but once Ryan realized I was beginning to panic a bit, he took a couple steps back and slowly explained a few extra details in laymans terms and I was once again smiling and confident. Icing on the cake was when Charlie offered to follow me in my new car to a car rental agency down the street so I could return my rental car and not have to pay for an Uber to return to the dealership. That was really going above and beyond...the sale had already been made and out of kindness he offered this gesture that removed the last remaining bit of stress I had in the whole car buying experience. Kudos to these two fellas and those behind the scenes who made my experience so easy! Side note, I LOVE my new Chevy Equinox! :) More
