This was the first time I actually worked a trade-in deal through email. I worked with Silva and he was excellent - friendly, straightforward and very responsive. He was also trustworthy as the deal he gave me (both new car price and trade-in) via email was already written up when I arrived. All I needed to do was test drive and sign paperwork. We were in and out in under an hour. The Abarth's they had in stock were really well chosen. The options included really personalized the cars and they were careful not to add superfluous details that inflate the cost. I would highly recommend Fiat of Alexandria and especially Silva. He is knowledgeable and easy to deal with; both in person and especially via email. Dino the new GM was also a pleasure to deal with in this purchase. More

Caveat Emptor I bought a 2012 FIAT 500 Abarth from FIAT of Alexandria, VA. The car is standard shift, which I didn't think would be a problem. Well, my knees are I bought a 2012 FIAT 500 Abarth from FIAT of Alexandria, VA. The car is standard shift, which I didn't think would be a problem. Well, my knees are starting to give out and shifting was painful. When I went to trade the car for something with an automatic transmission I learned that the Car Fax report said the car had been in an accident. It must have been a very minor accident as everything about the car is fine...everything but the resale value. The Car Fax report knocked $6,000 off the resale price. Should I have checked the Car Fax? Yes. Should the salesman have informed me? I say yes. I think it would have been the professional thing to do. Some might argue that nobody expects a guy selling a used car to be completely truthful. I say if you're buying a CERTIFIED USED car from a dealership you should be able to make a couple assumptions, and one assumption is that the car has a clean Car Fax report. Shame on me. Shame on FIAT of Alexandria. More

HORRIBLE experience!! UREAL I can't believe this place has any good reviews!!! I went to buy a car and wanted my husband to weigh in on it. I was buying the car by myself, and I can't believe this place has any good reviews!!! I went to buy a car and wanted my husband to weigh in on it. I was buying the car by myself, and had one fully picked out. While the sales person wasn't bad at first... he ended up texting me photos of the car and calling incessantly asking me when I was coming to get the car. And let me tell you WHY i decided not to buy from here (when I had the car totally picked out and ready to go) We went into the financing department where the finance officer continuously spoke to my husband ... who had nothing to do with buying the car as I was buying it for my business. When I made that clear, he went on to INSULT me by saying that they are doing me a favor by financing the car for me when I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A JOB! I have my own successful business. I really loved the car I was going to buy, but I refused to give this place any of my business. Instead I went to another area dealer and bought an even better FIAT from people I can trust. Thank goodness for that! More

I am beyond disgusted and disappointed with my experience, which is still not over: 1. When requesting a final OTD price from the salesperson - I was mislead and surprised with hidden fees throughout the process. I made numerous requests for an itemized breakdown of the total cost, and I constantly got the run around. 2. When I went to pick up the car at the dealership - my car had the wrong color seats/interior in the car. 3. There was a dent on the passenger door that they DID NOT inform me about. I noticed it at the dealership after signing all the paperwork for my car. I am still battling to get the dealership to cover the cost to fix it. 4. I am also STILL waiting to get my permanent tags and title for my car. I purchased my car end of May 2013. After reaching out to customer service, the dealership just submitted the request for my tags end of August but underpaid the DMV and is refusing to pay the difference. 5. The general manager Ellie is absolutely horrible. She has been rude and uncooperative throughout this entire process. Do not trust anyone that works here. Do not waste your time, it is not worth it. I would not wish this experience on anyone. More

Walk in to their dealership and they say "WELCOME TO FIAT"....the staff was very friendly from the FIAT OF ALEXANDRIA IS AN OUTSTANDING DEALERSHIP. Walk in to their dealership and they say "WELCOME TO FIAT"....the staff was very friendly from the moment I walked in the doors. Silva greeted me and answered all my questions on the different models. He gave me the price points and described the options that were available to me once I was able to choose the model and color I wanted. Fiats are a happy car and way of life. Sold my Lexus RX right away once I sat in my Sport. This car has lots of leg room, drives and handles with ease and was a perfect fit. Silva went with me on my test drive and explained all the options again. He showed me where everything was and how to program everything. Once we were back in the showroom, I was asked about my financing, trade in and WOW - did I get great service and attention from the GM. Ellie Seyedan has been in the car business and she knows the business well. I was very impressed with the way she worked and the care she took to make the deal. A great deal of attention was given to me, and I received a fair trade in and very pleased with the options that I was offered. Ellie took care in both hearing what I needed and meeting my expectations - all with a smile and friendly voice. Once the deal was done, they took my new Sport and gave it a quick wash and made sure the car was in perfect condition before I left. AND HERE IS A BONUS - I LOVED THE CAR AND THIS DEALERSHIP SO MUCH THAT I BOUGHT 2 MORE FIATS FROM THEM. I traded in the Sport and bought a Black 500Lounge. 5000 miles later I bought the adorable GUCCI 500 CONVERTIBLE. The ONLY Fiat dealership I would ever buy from would be FIAT OF ALEXANDRIA. Silva has helped me each time and the entire staff has made EACH AND EVERY EXPERIENCE A WONDERFUL EVENT. These folks give great prices, shows me how to use the options, programed my phone too and made sure that the cars were clean and ready to go before I left. They always answered all my questions on the different options. I added several "fun" features to the first two cars and they can install everything as well. Staff in parts is fantastic and so helpful. How great is that - ONE STOP SHOPPING AND WITH EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Silva is wonderful, but I've also noticed the entire FIAT OF ALEXANDRIA staff to be very customer oriented and ALWAYS surpass my expectations. I have no idea how anyone could possibly recommend this place, especially when they dealt with Skylar. Any positive reviews with him have to be completely made up by the dealership since he is probably the place, especially when they dealt with Skylar. He simply doesn't know what he is talking about, will argue with you and is very unprofessional and lazy. I've shopped for a number of cars in various parts of the country and this is by far the worst dealership experience I've ever had. I can't believe in 2013 they still use the old bait and switch tactic! In addition to that constant upselling, completely opaque pricing and a showroom full of a bunch of salespeople who won't help you - and even argue with you - and are consistently inaccurate. Avoid this place at all costs and the positive reviews they get on this website are HIGHLY suspect - especially for anything associated with Skylar. More
