He showed me around, asked me what I was looking for, and after seeing that I brought a paper with me, asked me if he WILL match or beat any competitor's pricing. I sat down, showed him the few pieces of quotes emailed to me by various dealers, and he was confident to earn my business. We talked numbers, asked me repeatedly what he can do to make me a happy customer. He ran some numbers, talked with the manager on duty, and told me that he can match the pricing at the very least, with the color of my choosing. I told him I was offered $500 off on a different dealership, and if he gave it to me, I was going to buy later that evening, no questions asked. He tells me to wait, and goes back to talk with his manager. About 30 minutes later, I am greeted by a totally different person, this person claiming to be the Sales Manager of the dealership. He tells me to step into his office and talk over details. Next thing I know, he is saying that price I was offered by the other dealerships are not possible in any way, and printed out what seemed to be their "invoice" price, which was about $4000 above the total out the cost quoted by the other dealership, and he was not including any tax, tags, fees, etc... Of course, I already did my homework before coming here, and knew what the actual dealership invoice price is, which was not even near what he told me to be his. I already knew that he was straight up lying to my face, but I did not show it, as I wanted to see their true nature as a dealership. I replied to him that I have already spoke in person with the other dealers, and they were all true to their word regarding the "out the door" pricing they gave me, and he took my copy of the quotes, brought it near the team members of that dealership just sitting and chatting in a corner, and started laughing historically at the paper, getting the other employees to laugh with him. I stared at him in disbelief as I never thought customer service would never be that bad, but it happened. Although they made light of me and took me as a fool, I simply put on a smile, and left the dealership. Not only did the team there lie about beating any price and wanting to do everything they can to earn my business, they took me as a fool, and mocked me in order get me to believe their words were true. Little did they know that, that sort of psychological conditioning only works on simpletons. This is a very accurate depiction of the events that occurred today at the dealership, and would advise potential buyers from visiting this dealership to avoid such mockery and deceit. More

I recommend any one who wants a smooth & pleasant purchasing experience should not go there. Jan 10, 2011: I (the consumer) negotiated a discount and bought a new car - Nissan Versa 2011 from Antwerpen Nissan (the dealer). One Month Later: dealer’s sales representative Jack Gueye and sales manager Mike Hastings refused to recognize the dealer discount is ever valid, but categorize it as unpaid downpayment and ask the consumer to pay more. Been refused, they froze the consumer’s permanent license tag and forced consumer’s temporary tag to expire. May 6, 2011: Dealer’s Accounting Department cancelled the consumer’s already paid service contract. The consumer disagreed and filed complaint to Best Business Bureau of Great Maryland. July 14, 2011: The dealer did not respond back to the consumer’s rebuttal and the offer to mediate. The case closed unresolved. Oct. 11, 2011: The consumer hired lawyer to send out a demand letter. The dealer replied but refuses to commit any mistake. They even stated false reasons to try to rationalize their overcharge. Jan. 10, 2012: Marked the anniversary of this frustrating Nissan dealer-dealing experience, the consumer will restart seeking more legal helps. More
I had a very positive experience at Antwerpen Nissan. I originally went there to see a used Sentra, but it wasn't what I wanted. He gave me a price that I thought was fair, but I took a week to fully research it and compare it to offers from other dealers. Mike's price was the best I got, and he matched an offer I had on a trade-in. When I finally went to the dealership to do the paperwork, I steeled myself for what I was sure would be long waits and high-pressure tactics to buy additional items. (When I had bought from another Antwerpen dealership 9 years earlier, the actual purchase experience had been lengthy and less than pleasant.) There was none of that. We were in and out of the dealership in less than two hours, and that included the trade-in transaction as well as the new purchase paperwork. There were no high-pressure tactics - just a really pleasant overall experience. (I actually ended up walking out with a nicer car than I had planned, but that wasn't due to pressure - it was because the car was for my father and he changed his mind at the last minute. Mike was very patient and gave us a similarly fair price on the nicer car.) More
Just went in to browse looking at a mid-size SUV for my daughter. A sales rep was gratious enough to show me each model, explain the different equipment levels within model and demonstrate all the bells an daughter. I told her up front my interest was just casual but she was extremely helpful with no high pressure sales tactics. A very pleasant experience. She is one of the most beautiful women I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. When I'm ready to buy you can bet I'll be back. Might not wait that long. More
Overall My experience is this group of new car agents and mangers are not truthful and there contractual paper work is set up to fool the customer into believeing he is in control. I've bought a lot of cars in my life, but this was the best experience that I have had. First, I never felt like I was being pressured or hounded to commit. When I finally decided to buy (Sentra), and this was huge to me, I didn't have to deal with that game dealers always seem to play. You know the one -- "Let me talk to my manager" and then the salesman disappears for hours at a time. None of that at all. Negotiating was done right in front of me and was absolutely transparent. We agreed to a price and an amount for my trade and, when it was time to sign, the price was as we agreed; not a nickle over! When it was time to sign the papers, it was a pleasant experience. My wife and I were able to relax and have a cold drink while the documents were prepared. I didn't have to sit and watch the process like I have before. Everything was ready for us when we walked into the finance office. I was waiting for the up sell, where they try to get you to buy all those extra add-ons. Didn't happen. I was offered Gap Insurance and an extended warranty, all low key. I declined both and that was the end of the discussion. Great experience, wonderful attitude of the sales staff, and very efficient processing the deal. I would definitely shop here again. More
I went to Antwerpen just to shop around. I ended up leaving with a brand new 2011 Versa. The finance department is excellent and does everything they can to help you! We bought 2 cars toward the end of April. We got good prices on them; my boyfriend didn't pay anything down on his Sentra & I got an Xterra. I think we got a pretty good deal as we got 2 cars. My boyfriend had a dent (divot) in the Sentra bumper & the dealership fixed it right when we got it (FOC.) They also agreed to let us have our trusted mechanic check out the cars before we bought them. Our mechanic gave the Sentra a clean "bill of health" & the things he recommended for the Xterra were fixed quickly by the dealership -- that even included a timing belt! While the cars were in the shop, we got to drive the service manager's dealer car -- so that was nice! All, in all, it was a good experience & I'd recommend Antwerpen to people looking to buy. More
Our experience with this dealership started out ok. The salesman we were working with was friendly and made us feel comfortable about buying there. He was pushy and condescending. He stretched the truth at time and outright lied to us at others. When, because of the research we had done, we were able to call him on his dishonesty he played dumb and attempted to redirect the conversation. When we ultimately decided to take our business to another dealership with a better offer the sales manager stormed out after us and actually started *yelling* at us. We were shocked as we drove away by his disrespect and petulance. Later he called, again playing dumb and downplaying his misbehavior, and actually apologizing More
