I left my lights on for about 1/2 hour by error. When I went to start my 2006 Civic It did not start. I call AAA and they tried. It started and then shut off. Car was towed to Atamian; left a note stating went to start my 2006 Civic It did not start. I call AAA and they tried. It started and then shut off. Car was towed to Atamian; left a note stating the problem; Car still under the warrantee and mentioned that I wanted a call. I did not receive a call so I called them. They said that they were just about ito bring it in and it needed a "4-5 hour" charge as battery was completely dead. I did not understand that statement as there was still a little light when I left it at the dealership. Even the AAA driver and witnesses at Town Hall will verify this statement. I also stated that I would like to have the recall work done on the vehicle. When I called later, Al in service department told me that he had to charge me 99.50 for labor on recharging and reprogramming the key and that the recall on this was already done before. I told him the recall was not done, After arguing, He finally admitted that he was looking at a 2001 Civic recall and not my car. I hope others are not told that recall work is done when it is not. Was there a problem with the computer? I asked the person not to do the recall as I was going to bring it to another dealership. But he went ahead and did it. He also said that he had to reprogram the key. Why wasn't I informed of this aas I requested and why isn't this covered by Honda. I have a complaint going in to Honda. At first Al said the battery was n't completely dead which it wasn't . They even said the AAA person started the battery incorrectly. We had witnesses and the connections to the battery were made correctly. When I went to pick up the car, the staff was somewhat rude and I attributed that to being late in the evening (8pm) and they were just going home. I felt awkward and poorly treated. The service department did not honor my request to call; work was done without my approval; Recall was misreported and recall was done when I asked them not to do it. Further letters are being sent to the proper authorities BBB, AG office, Honda Corp, etc.... All I asked for Atamian to credit my money back. I would pay for the towing. In this case it was not the $99 but the principal of it all and the incorrect services rendered. I also feel that Honda should honor its 3 year commitment on the battery especially if it affects the key which the person at Honda didn't quite know about. I would like Atamian to do the honorable thing and credit my account with Discover. More
I had given my 2000 Honda Accord car for service after my CEL turned on. Ms. Betty was my representative at Honda. They charged me $95 for Diagnosis. The reason for the CEL as I was told was that, I need to CEL turned on. Ms. Betty was my representative at Honda. They charged me $95 for Diagnosis. The reason for the CEL as I was told was that, I need to change the Alternator, Tensioner, and Belt. She wouldn't let me buy the parts from somewhere like Autozone where these 3 parts would cost me $170 and rather ordered the parts from the Honda Parts which cost me $375. On the day when the parts were ordered, she quoted me $320 for labor when I drop off the car once the parts arrived. After the parts were fixed up, my labor charge was $400. Luckily, I remembered the paper in which she had quoted me $320 for Labor. I took it to another representative Mr. Mike Alford, who quickly noticed the over charge and made the correction back to $320 without any ado. My total cost for replacing (after correction) the alternator, belt tensioner, and belt was $850. That is a totally ridiculous pricing by any standards considering that this car is 7 years old now. Don't ever take your car Honda Service, even if you have to don't take it to Atamian Honda, even so if you have no other choice but to take your car to Atamian Honda, do not take it to Ms. Betty. I was new in The area and had 2 Honda vehicles, Odyssey and Accord. This place was convenient for servicing. We moved from Dallas, and compared to the experience I got there (dealt with the same dealership and Accord. This place was convenient for servicing. We moved from Dallas, and compared to the experience I got there (dealt with the same dealership for 8 years), this place is really bad. 1. They seem to lack the Honda training - it combines European car dealership and Honda dealership in teh same place, with employees dealing with both. As a result, they like to quote high and expect people to pay it. 2. They quoted 80% more than the Honda dealership in Nashua (Peters Honda) for changing timing belt & waterpump! And quoted higher two other dearler I called by at least $300/- 3. Never give them work when you are in that place with the car. Take your car out, get quotes and go back only if they are fine. y bet - you will never get big work done. 4. The service is not very thorough. They did oil changes, services on both vehicles. Sometimes, they write the next service/date. Sometimes not. I am sure the lack of a uniform training/process is reflected elsewhere. The ONLY reason I would go there is because it is closer, even though the service folks are not even remotely genuinely helpful More
I called to schedule a oil change. the person I talked to wasn't friendly and patient. The experience of buying my car there was just okay. I had to wait for a long time to get the paperwork done. But overall, their price is very reasonable compared to other dealers. More
I cannot recommend this dealer. I have had a few of the major services done on my Honda by Atamian. They are expensive, even by Honda dealer standards, but I continued to use them because their location w major services done on my Honda by Atamian. They are expensive, even by Honda dealer standards, but I continued to use them because their location was convenient and I expected I would get better service for the extra cost. It turns out that is not the case. A part I bought from them and had installed failed prematurely and should have been covered under the part's warranty. Atamian required expensive labor charges to "prove" that the part was at fault for the failure and would not refund that charge, even if they did prove that the part was at fault. I expect more from a dealer if I am going to pay the extra costs to go to them. Most of the service advisors I have dealt with just do their job and aren't excpetionally friendly or helpful. Jason who helped me on one service is an exception- he was helpful and friendly and made getting my car worked on a pleasant experience. I have no complaints about the quality of work that they perform. Aside from the one premature part failure, I have not had any problems with the work they have done. More
