So, why the excessive NON-NEGOTIABLE "document fees" of $549 (most dealers are less than $400) and then, adding a REQUIRED $299 fee for an "etching." This etching service is positioned as "insurance" in the event that the vehicle is stolen. The etching is essentially a label attached to various parts of the car at minor cost to the dealer. The claim that this etching serves as "insurance" in the event that your vehicle is at best a questionable sales tactic to drive up profits given that most all vehicles are already insured through the owner's auto policy. This is a disgusting business policy and can range from and additional 5% to 8% of the purchase price on a used vehicle. STOP ABUSING THE CUSTOMERS' WHO ARE ALREADY SPENDING SIGNIFICANT MONEY ON A VEHICLE! More
