I went to Rockville Audi/Porsche to look at a used 911 Turbo I had seen advertised on-line. Not prepared to make a deal that day, I didn't drive the vehicle I was planning on trading in, so it clearly wa Turbo I had seen advertised on-line. Not prepared to make a deal that day, I didn't drive the vehicle I was planning on trading in, so it clearly wasn't a "check-in-hand" day for me. Anyway, from the moment I arrived, I was rather disappointed to start with. I spent 15 minutes outside looking at a couple cars and the only salesperson I saw come out did so to talk on his cell, looked right at me, and turned away. Add to this that the car I was looking at (2002 911 Turbo) was FILTHY! It literally had a huge spiderweb hanging from the lock-box on the side window down to the door panel and looked as if the last car wash it saw was well over a month ago (my fingers were dirty from lightly rubbing over some of the several scratches on the car). Also, there was a dime sized gash on the sidewall of the front left tire - I'm sure this wouldn't pass current MD inspection.... Finally, I went in to the showroom and asked the first guy I came upon (Jesus) if I could look at a car. He obliged, but didn't seem to do so willingly. Getting back out to the car, he had the wrong key fob to open the lock box so had to return back inside to get the correct one. After several minutes, he returned with the right one and was able to open the car. After spending a few minutes looking at the interior, I asked if we could take it for a test drive. He said this would take several minutes and invited me back inside but instead I choose to stay at the car and inspect it more carefully. The wood trim was cracked badly and lifting off around the left driver-side vent and had blemishes in other spots (a new kit is available from CarID for $160 and includes all the pieces...), there were cigarette burns in several places, there were several scratches across the front and some very deep ones above the left side air-intake, wheel crests were all faded ($24 each to replace), factory radio was replaced with a xxx Kenwood that blocked the air controls when open, and generally it wasn't kept in good condition. Anyway, when he finally returned outside, he said he couldn't find the key to move the new car that was blocking this car in. He went back in to look again and once more, returned without the key to move the other one. Then, he asked if I wanted to try and maneuver it to pull out around the other car - I felt as if I was being set-up to take the chance of hitting the other car and have it on my dime, not the dealer's. I kindly deferred to him and he did manage to get the car out. I do have to say the car drove well and felt appropriate, although I didn't push it at all and kept it at a modest pace. At the end of the ride, it was left that I would return in a couple days with the car I was trading in (2005 BMW 530i 6-sp manual). When I arrived that day, Jesus promptly met us outside and allowed me to take my wife for a test-drive while they appraised the BMW. When we returned, we went back inside and Jesus told me they would give me $7000 for the BMW. I laughed in his face - the Kelly Blue Book trade-in value, not retail or sellers price, on that car in good condition was $15,750, fair condition was $14,025 (and this car is definitely better than fair) and the games began. He then went back to probably get a drink and pretend he was working for me to get a deal and returned with an offer of $10,000, saying this is the best they can do and he can't reduce the price on the Porsche, saying it was already marked down to the minimun. I said I wanted $16K (was willing to take $14K only if they fixed the issues on the Porsche) and once again he left and then returned with the GM. All the GM said was that $10K was the best they could do, then shook my hand and we were pushed out the door. Jesus called the next day and told me to take the BMW to carmax as this would guarantee the price that Rockville Porsche would give me - I told him that I was dealing with him, not carmax, and if I took the BMW to carmax I was going to buy from carmax. He then said he would have the GM call me in 3 minutes, and several days later I have still not heard from either. Too bad for them - on Saturday, I went to HBL Porsche at Tysons Corner and bought a newer, much better maintained 2003 911 Turbo (btw, their initial offer on my BMW was $12k and they were willing to work on the price of the Porsche too). When all is said and done, I am grateful I was treated in such a disrespectful manner and low-balled severely at Rockville Porsche as I found a much better car, more respectful salesperson and manager and much better experience at Porsche of Tysons Corner. I am a happy 911 Turbo owner now! More

After a less than favorable experience with another local Audi dealership earlier in the day, I went to Rockville Audi. From the time I walked in the experience was extremely favorable. The receptionist took Audi dealership earlier in the day, I went to Rockville Audi. From the time I walked in the experience was extremely favorable. The receptionist took my name and then walked me to the waiting area. She gave me a brochure about the particular model I was seeking. Then she promptly alerted the sales staff. Within a few minutes it was evident that all the sales persons were tied up, so they arranged for me to take a solo test drive of the model I was interested in. Upon my return, a Ms. D'anna was waiting and reviewed the features of the car I desired. She then took down the specifics of what I was looking for. Although it took over a month for my car to arrive, (supply/demand issues), Ms. D'anna was professional and maintained contact with me through out the process. She called me the day my car arrived and we arranged a pick up the next day. The purchase process could not have been any easier. I was in and out within 2 1/2 hours. Mr. Bersch, sales manager, and Dominique were excellent. Ms. D'anna walked me through my new car and introduced me to the service department. I love Rockville Audi. I would recommend them without reservation. I think they have made a loyal Audi customer. Cheers! More
Shahul was very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous in his dealing. He changed his doctors appointment, took my phone call on his day off and got back to everything I had a question for him. He went out o his dealing. He changed his doctors appointment, took my phone call on his day off and got back to everything I had a question for him. He went out of his to ensure that I got all the information I needed about the car I was interested in. Shahul exhibited extreme professionalism by having accurate and completed knowledge about the car I was interested in (Audi A6). He was not pushy at all yet did his best to get me a good deal, and most importantly I had my peace of mind when I was dealing with him. I also liked working with Shahul's manager Peter and his boss Tom. I would highly recommend Shahul Usman and the team at Rockville Audi! You guys ROCK!! I was searching the web looking to replace my 08' 997S. I found a great car online while viewing the Rockville Porsche/AutoTrader website. I began chatting with Shahul online, going over specifics of my trad found a great car online while viewing the Rockville Porsche/AutoTrader website. I began chatting with Shahul online, going over specifics of my trade-in, the car I was looking at, etc. From that very moment onward, he was nothing short of an absolute pleasure to work with. Easy going, clearly enjoyed the cars we was selling, had a sense of humor and didn't have an arrogance to him that so many exotic car dealers have. I went to visit the dealership the next morning and was met by him at the door - again, very friendly service, very easy going, no pressure. I was also introduced to Peter Bearsch, the Sales Manager. Just like Shahul, he was great to work with - he has a passion for Porsche, was always smiling and was super easy to talk to. I proceeded to test drive the car, inspect the car and then sat down to talk numbers. In the end, both of us were happy. This is the third Porsche I've purchased, so I have some good experience dealing with dealers. I have nothing bad to say about Rockville Porsche, Shahul and Peter. I can't stress it enough, it was an easy, smooth, straight forward process. Thanks again guys! More
I had been looking for a Honda Civic for the longest time and finally came across at this location. I was very happy with the car but the service made it even an easy buy. We met Shahul Usman who was expert and finally came across at this location. I was very happy with the car but the service made it even an easy buy. We met Shahul Usman who was expert in both cars and customer service. He made sure we were comfortable from the minute we walked in and very knowledgeable about the car. In the future, I would highly recommend this dealership and this sales representative. I will definitely buy my next car from this gentleman. Overall, I am happy with what I have and thank you for your great customer service again. More
I wanted to get my wife a Cayenne for Mother's day and noticed they had several in stock. In order to keep my wife from finding out I worked with Shahul to get everything squared away and ready to go. I w noticed they had several in stock. I bought a used Audi A4 Cabriolet from this dealer in 2007 and for the first two years I was so THRILLED with the service...I was a raving fan. About two years ago they completely replaced the service de 2007 and for the first two years I was so THRILLED with the service...I was a raving fan. About two years ago they completely replaced the service department and it has been downhill ever since. My routine service visits are painful, painful, painful. One specific incident is the perfect example of the problems I've encountered. After having a crack in my windshield, I decided to have it replaced at the dealer to have genuine Audi parts and not have to deal with some fly-by-night operation in my driveway. Turns out, Rockville Audi subcontracts a fly-by-night operation in their driveway who actually dented and scraped the hood of my car. Fortunately I noticed it and wouldn't leave the dealer until I received a commitment that they would fix it. There were other scrapes inside the car that I was not able to "prove" to them weren't there before the subcontractor took a crowbar to my dashboard, so I was out of luck on that. I was without my car for a week while it was at the body shop and when it came back the trim was not reattached correctly. They promised to fix it, but the lame subcontractor was going to re-do the work and I insisted that they be supervised so the didn't damage my car again. I've tried to reschedule this work multiple times with no success - the dealer has ZERO motivation to make me happy at this point - they are not making any money off the transaction and they have to coordinate with the lame contractor, which I'm sure is their least favorite thing to do. My service coordinator through all this is Max, who is young and severely underskilled for his job at a luxury car dealer. I've gotten sympathy from the service director and the general manager of the dealership, but it doesn't seem to make anything happen faster. I relish the day I purchase my next convertible so I can tell Rockville Audi I bought from someone else because they suck so badly. Luxury car dealer, high price, low service. You DON'T get what you pay for. More
Typical "low ball" experience you expect from the worst of dealerships on our trade. They deserve the poor reputation they have. Check them out on Edmunds.com Same low ratings. When I walke the worst of dealerships on our trade. They deserve the poor reputation they have. Check them out on Edmunds.com Same low ratings. When I walked in with my wife, the receptionist didn't even look up. She was buried in some app on her phone. We were inside for 10 miutes looking at cars and were on our way out when we were finally noticed. Wish we hadn't been. Went back 2x before they finally got around to appraising our car. LOW BALL offer on a car that is cherry clean and less than a year old. Lot's of promises to get "closer on the numbers" over the next few days. NOTHING but excuses while they wasted our time. Their first offer on our car was $4,100.00 less than the Kelly Blue Book TRADE VALUE. We weren't even looking for retail or resale value. Don't waste your time at this place. Their service dept gets the same low ratings on Edmunds.com. More
We purchased a new Audi A3 TDI from this dealership the evening of 12/10/10. The very next day we noticed that there were scratches on the car. We took it back in and the job they did in fixing it was ve evening of 12/10/10. The very next day we noticed that there were scratches on the car. We took it back in and the job they did in fixing it was very poor. The scratches are still viewable. 5 days later we received a call telling us that we need to come back in and re-sign the papers as there was a mistake and the terms of the contract needs to be changed from 24 months to 36 months in order to take advantage of the promotion where they make the first payment for us. So we braved the holiday traffic on 12/18 on Rockville Pike and went back that Saturday. NO ONE would stop to talk to us. We waited outside of the financial director's office for 15 mins as he had someone else in there and after that person left, he still did not acknowledge us. We had to knock and go in and he acted like we were totally disturbing him and told us to wait until he finished up. We finally get in there and he had none of the papers ready and changed the terms again! He said now they were not willing to pay the amount that was agreed upon when we purchased the car and needed to lower it by $250. First of all, we were less than pleased to have had to drive back to that dealership yet again during the last Saturday before Christmas. The traffic was horrendous and it took us an hour to get there. Then to be told that they were going to change the terms yet again and to top it off to have to sit there for over a half hour while he bumbled along trying to write us up a new contract that should have been ready for us so that we could pop in, sign and go... It was absolutely absurd! We spent a total of 50 mins. there sitting and waiting for Demont at which point we stepped out and asked to speak with the General Manager, Tom. He totally did not care and told us to wait some more. We waited another 10 mins. and then finally walked out. We received a call from Demont the next day saying that either we came back and signed the new contract or they would not make any payment at all. I emailed them stating that we had a contract that stated that they would make the first payment and that we were willing to pursue further if necessary. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau and will follow up once I hear back from them. UPDATE on my post above: This was the response that the Better Business Bureau received from their General Manager, Tom Walsh: The customer purchased a new a3 on 12/11/2010. The agreement was to make the first payment of $XXX.XX. Rockville Porsche/Audi will make the first payment. Thank you. Gives you the warm and fuzzies, right?? The positive: They are actually going to abide by the terms of the contract that was signed. The negative: Not a single apology was offered by any of the Audi folks involved for trying to change the terms of the contract 5 days after purchase, making us drive out there twice and totally wasting our time, and threatening to not make the agreed upon first payment. My thought is that Demont, the brilliant financial director, totally forgot that I had him write in the original contract that they would make the first payment. Note that I had to ask him to manually write it in the contract as it was not on there at all originally. Thank GOD that I did! Knowing what I know now about how they tried to back out of making the first payment, I'm pretty sure that is the only thing that made them follow through. It is so shocking that people like these pretentious xxxxxx are in a service oriented industry... More
