After driving three hours, I was greeted with “I didn’t know you were coming,” and the salesperson immediately stated that the original numbers were a “mistake.” The revised worksheet showed nearly a $20,0 know you were coming,” and the salesperson immediately stated that the original numbers were a “mistake.” The revised worksheet showed nearly a $20,000 increase in the amount financed compared to what I was sent beforehand. My trade was significantly undervalued, and I was told the vehicle wouldn’t be released if I used my own lender. Considering the vehicle has been on their lot for over 65 days, the approach was surprising. Another dealership nearby was transparent and met my trade number without issue.
