Our Mustang broke down on I-80 so we had it towed to Autonation at night. We test drove a Kia Sorento today and liked what we were driving, however it had a backseat that was stained. Also when breaking there was an obvious rough pulse/shaking. I let the associate (Marquan) k driving, however it had a backseat that was stained. Also when breaking there was an obvious rough pulse/shaking. I let the associate (Marquan) know our concerns and when we went in to talk numbers we (my wife and I as well as Marquan) clearly made an agreement that we would purchase the vehicle if they got new brakes and rotors and cleaned the stain. I then clarified with the associate and verbally confirmed new brakes and rotors. I also had him write it down on each paper they had me sign. However, Marquan only wrote down brakes rotors. As we were going over and signing the financial paperwork to purchase the vehicle, I reminded the finance person that before I sign the paper that says they owe me nothing, that first I needed to see that they put the new brakes and rotors on, or they needed to include new brakes and rotors on that paperwork as well. She said Marquan said we weren’t doing that. I asked her to have him come in the room himself to clear the matter up. After a min or so Bill (the manager) comes in and informs us that the techs will only look at the brakes and rotors and determine what it needs, and fix what they deem necessary. I made it clear that is not what was agreed upon. He was rude to us and said if they can “get away with” turning the rotors that’s what they were going to do. He made it clear take it or leave it. I am of the few people out there that will walk if someone does not honor their word. If you are not going to do something, don’t say you will. Needless to say we stopped everything right there, and did not purchase from here. Bill wanted me to be sure I put in my review that they offered to fix the brakes. To Bill: turning rotors is not replacing them with new ones no matter how you’d like to spin it. Jeff More
